@introduction1988 This is the French cover of a song written by Sonny Bono, originally sung by Nancy Sinatra. Cher also does a version of it but I think the original French is my favorite. The incredible Dalida also does a version in Italian, which is excellent also.
@Therese504 There are Vietnamese versions too, by My Tam (more like Cher's) and Thanh Lan (more like the French version). I like the French version by Sheila by most.
The song "L'heure de la sortie" (about the end of working time in a day, same principle as "'L'école est fine") was in this movie too, and one can find it on YT :
- either in the low-quality scopitone, but shot at the famous Galeries Lafayette general stores (with mean-to-be young working salers there)
- either in the lavishly edited extract of this movie "Bang Bang" (1966), the famous scene with (a lot of) dancing girls in a gymnasium, with ultra short dresses..
It IS the singer of Sheila B. Devotion! She released a lot of french singles and albums before and after her career with the three Black-Devotion-Guys. She was very, very successful in France. But she never sang "Rock the boat". Her biggest hits with Sheila B. Devotion were "Love me baby", "Singing in the rain" and "Spacer". But there are a lot of other fantastic songs as "You light my fire" or "Kennedy Airport".

Well well this very version of Sheila was in a movie, too... the movie "Bang Bang" issued in time for the song !!
A lovely low-cost sub-J.Bond action starring Sheila herself inheriting a private detective's agency.
How I'd love to watch it you cannot imagine.
