It is a real shame that Ruby Flipper didn't continue. Rumoured to be because the BBC bosses didn't like a mixed sex dance troupe. But they really did catch the spirit of the times, and their routines were fresh. I was born in 65 so grew up on pop music in the 70s. That UK hot summer of 76 is seared into my memory. i know it's not good to look back, but how I miss those days and the music was just so good.

Could watch this over and over again. A little corny it may be, but from a period when pop music was fun to listen to and TOTP presented it in a simple and tasteful way, instead of the over -rated and full of themeselves presentations by today's acts do.

Thanks for another classic memory. A pity Ruby Flipper were so short-lived. They also did a great outdoor routine in the Blue Peter Garden to the Champs Boys version of Tubular Bells. It would be great if you could post it if you locate it.
