This is a mens softball league. the ump is actually behind the batter so a foul ball doesn't hit him. all he's watching for is where the pitch lands and the height of the pitch at its apex.

I do like Terry, but this is why after doing this at NSA World Series he has been relived of his job as an umpire. Which is a bad thing because he did call the game fair all the time. He just made the game interesting.
