Yeah this is how you don't do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to do it the white way you take the barrel nut off and remove the delta ring, thats just how a person with common sense does it! notice how hard he is struggling to get it on and the pin was bent and tweaked to get out that way, theres only one way to do it and thats obvious you did it wrong !!! good job showing people how to do it the wrong way ;) might as well use a monkey wrench while your at it
Nice video man, just got a few of the engraved dust covers for my AR's and had no idea where to start. How do you like the Carbon 15 by the way? I work for a distributor and the deal on them as an employee is pretty good so I'm debating on getting one.
@ATR022190 I actually still haven't shot it yet. I've broken it down several times and everything seems fine. The bolt functions well and is staked properly. The only think I really don't care for is the pencil thin barrel. Trigger isn't great, but not terrible either.
@blacknight19832 I did not. Your spring may have unwound. It shouldn't be any different than before. Let me know if you need help and I'll see what I can do.
I tried replacing mine using your video as a reference and during your video it seemed that you really had a tough time getting the rod/pin to slide out without using a bit of force. I couldn't tell in the video if it had enough clearance with the assist button housing to slide out properly or if you scratched up the finish on the gun doing it. I managed to get the old door off though...it did get bent in the process...so now I just cannot get the rod/pin to slide out enough on my M&P 15 to get
@bryan52972 Sorry to hear that. It was tough to get around the forward assist housing but it eventually went without damaging the rod. I did however end up scratching one of the guns slightly.
i have found it is a little easier to get the ring off by getting it upside down holding the left side of the pin and pushing downward on the ring with a multi tool pliers
Thank god, I thought I was gonna have to remove my barrel (like the ITS Tactical video claims)

Why not speed up through opening the package instead of the useful part of the project?
patriotfront 11 months ago
@patriotfront probably should have sped up the opening more. But if I didn't speed up the rest it would have been VERY long and boring....
