Ok situation, I want to be able to listen to sirius and have GPS (also on the iphone) vocals interupt my listening. I cannot seem to figure it out. I am stream BT but then I lose FM/Sirius. As I see it, it's all or nothing ...I want Media-In/Sirius to share the sound withBT-Audio. Make sense?
Hey man great video it helped me alot but I just have one question, is there a way to hook up my bluetooth enabled phone so that I can talk on my headset and hear the other person in the car via speakers? Thanks ahead of time
@SoorenaAA Sorry I forgot to say I have the new 2010 Wolfsburg Special Edition with the new chrome front and it has that thing your using so it should be the same.
my iphone 3gs doesnt connect to my 2010 CC anymore, it worked fine before but now it doesnt work for some reason. i tried making the iphone forget the device then connect it over again but it doesnt ask for a pin and it doesnt connect. what can i do?
Same issue with 2010 CC Sport and iPhone 3G. Bt-Audio button is greyed out, even after going to media and enabling bluetooth audio and blutooth confirmed connected. Can't connect audio as never requested, but bluetooth phone function on iPhone works fine. Am I missing something?
Just got a 2010 wolfsburg last night. Because of this video I knew how to pair my ipod touch to the bluetooth! Thanks for the tutorial and keep them coming!
Thank you for responding to my question. I followed the video step-by-step, but the system never asks if I would like to activate BT-Audio. However, The BT-Audio button is visible when I select media, but Im unable to select it (grayed out).
The BT connection for the phone works grate, so no there is no problem with the pairing process.
@AskaVWsalesguy are you sure? because based on my 2010 cc sport manual it said for bluetooth devices to play bluetooth audio, it needs to have a2dp support, hence it should have that feature.
Also (Since I haven't tested it yet) I assume that the music controls on the steering wheel will also work, so it provides a hands free alternative (which is good, since they just passed a law here in Ontario that it is illegal to operate any devices (Phones/Ipods/etc) without hands free capability. (If the phone/mp3 player is mounted its ok!).
UPDATE: I found out today from VW Canada that the ipod/iphone MDI cable is supposed to be standard for ALL 2010 models that have the MDI jack. This might explain why audio over bluetooth is not supported. You get a richer experience using the MDI cable since all info is displayed on the Dashboard screen as opposed to having to use the phone to control the music.
I have a 2010 Tiguan with NAV and Phone Package. The manual (section 3.4) says that this car should be able to stream music, (im using iphone 3g also), but it is not giving me the prompt on the screen. Any comments?
UPDATE: This feature only works 2010 JETTA SE, WOLFSBURG, SPORTWAGEN 2.5 or TDI, GOLF, AND GTI with "bluetooth connectivity 9W2). it does not work on vehicles with "enhanced bluetooth with voice controls 9W3".
Does it work on The VW golf 2007??

Can you plug into the ipod cable for Charge function while using blue tooth?
Can you use the ipod interface cable with a 3gs iphone just to do the ipod functions on the phone?
Thanks!

CC comes with BT connectivity but it does not support A2DP.
