its not sad bcuz Arcueid didnt died ;)
Acording to the game storylines there are two types of ending:
1)Arcueid true ending - Arc got the powers stolen by Roa back and she was able to revive herself and fell asleep at millennium castle
2)Arcueid good ending: Arc revived herself and met Shiki near his school. So they were able to live happy.

i'm wondering if arcueid made the right choice, couldn't she have asked Shiki if he would like to be bitten and spend eternity with her?
I guess he would have to drink blood though because he would not be a true vamire.. tough situation
