  • HAS ANYONE WITH "YELLOW" SKIN TRIED THIS ?

  • You are so beautiful :) Can you do a tutorial on the makeup you're wearing on this video? lol

  • what do you have on your nose it looks blue-ish I hope your ok

  • your voice sounds like you are a news reporter. lol

  • @popcornpiggie Um, she is one! Haha.

  • @SatelliteDreamz oh, haha, i had no idea!!! lol

  • i recently tried the Almay & i think it's so underrated! it does have a light coverage which i think turns people off. but that's what i like about it! lol :) & i don't know if you ever tried the Almay Smart Shade Anti-aging foundation (i'm sure you have bc this was posted a while back) but i compared the 2 today (i stole them from my mom.. haha) & the Anti-aging one has better coverage. however, it also contains light reflecting particles so it has a slight sheen to it, but nothing too crazy.

  • sephora sells a similar product... josie maran argan matchmaker serum foundation ($42). wonder how a high end product like this compares to the almay!

  • Great review!

  • DO A WEB SEARCH ON:

    charles h. miranda OR:

    charlesthepoet2003

    THANKS.

  • I'm not sure it's fair to compare such a poorly-made product to a legitimate product. Wet'n'Wild is awful.

  • Botox mania. :L

  • I have freckles and I bought it before I watched the review :/ that's 10 bucks I'll never get back lol

  • Why do u said like a news reporter...lol, Great video!

  • haha i love the "magically transforms" it's literally making me LOL

  • Would you reccomend the wet n wild for a tinted moisturizer for maybe a more even finish?

  • @emilynoel83 you have amazing canine teeth. :o sorry, had to say it. ._.

  • My mom uses both the almay and wet n wild. I have fair skin, but anyway both of these looked really unnatural on me.

  • It weird that almay and wet n wild are white with beads that blend in to your skintone. I use covergirl trubelnd makeup and it is the foundation color and has no beads when you put it on.

  • im looking foreward to trying the shade adjusting foundations. im so white that they might not change color at all. : /

  • @mahtexas Me too. Me too...

  • I love the almay smart shade smart balance one! it moisturizes and keeps you as matte that it is realistic! i no there isnt anything magical about but i love it anyways..kinda gimmicky haha but awesome

  • I have the Almay light/medium! I kinda like it. It feels oily to me.. I have oily skin though so I feel all shiny when I wear it... *cries* :(

  • what camera are you using to film this?

  • for the concealer dont you think its kind of dumb because this is shade matching or whatever.. and you dont want it to match the colors of your under eye circles lol. i have the blush one that i really like also love the foundation!

  • theres exactly 22,222 vies on this vid, which i think is cool cuz its 2:22 where i am.

  • I actually use the concealer as foundation :D doesnt break my skin out and feels light!

  • i bought the Almay Smart Shade Foundation in Medium and oh my gosh that thing made my face 4times darker! I'm naturally tan. I want to return that foundation but i threw my receipt away. I have oily skin and that thing made my face more oily. i regret it so much.

  • i just went to the flea market and i just got two of the almays for a dollar each. i got them in the light /medium. love them

  • I bought this foundation and I was so overjoyed. I have tried every foundation known to mankind and this one made my skin the smoothest and the most natural looking. Easy to apply, blended right in, covered up any non-smooth spots and stayed dry all day. This stuff is truly amazing...

  • @fizXgirl314 which one did you use almay or wet n wild?

  • i just bought the almay color stay tonight, i think i should of gotten a shade lighter, its a bit darker then i wanted, but i think if i use it lightly it should work. i indoor tan about 3 days a week, so i want light to med coverage

  • You are very thorough. I subscribed. I purchased the Almay and then saw your video. I haven't tried it just yet. I am not so nervous now about doing so. Thanks!

  • I usually wear the high end foundations, but I think I will give this one a try. The advantage with buying them at a drugstore is that you can I always take them back if they don't work out. You have nothing to lose. I am glad you gave a review on this product. It really helps me alot!

  • I just bought the Almay foundation with a bonus concealer at Big Lots for $5! Whoohoo!! I agree with you on the concealer; it seems to me to be pretty much worthless. Also, I applied the foundation with a flat foundation brush and it worked beautifully! I think it went on better than with my fingers, but it could be just me.

  • I agree that the Almay concealer does not have a thick enough coverage to hide any inperfections.

  • will it brake you out?

  • @GiselTY Almay is hypoallergenic.

  • i just bought the wet n wild @ jewel osco for 99 cents yesterday!

  • I tried the wet and wild one for about $3 i like it. I'm very young and don't have much problem I always only use tint's. I have use mineral they don't work i have dry skin and the mineral show. so the tints and this work for me. I love this wet and wild one..

  • Love your videos, they are great! Can you please do a review on two foundations: Revlon mineral mouse foundation (in black tube) and the Neutrogena healthy skin liquid w/SPF 20 foundation. Do you think these foundations are good for combo/oily skin.

  • I agree with everyone that said the Smartshade is too dark. I can't wear the Light - 100 shade in this. So, I had to said goodbye to it. I didn't like the coverage either, so, I guess it didn't matter.

  • is the almay smart shade good for combo/oily skin?

  • you know... i have combo/oily skin. almay products are noncomedogenic for the most part if not always. and so they DONT clog your pores, you just have to make sure to set it with a loose powder so that you wont look like an oil slick..

  • sorta

  • @blue92743

Almay just recently came out with Smart Shad Smart Balance which is great for combo/oily skin.

  • they have a version now that is for combo/oily skin

  • cool... i was wondering how those worked

  • Ive used revlon beyond natural and loreal true match and I liked both of them, thought they worked well

  • Almay Smart shade is too dark for me. Even the lightest choice made my face look off. But I had the orangy thing happen too.

  • It looked super orange on me too!

  • i hate the almay smartshade . it wears off 2 easily 4 me && like after a while , like after i used it a few times , like it started 2 turn orange like wen i put it on my facee . i heard it did that wif other people 2 . maybeh the shelf lifes not that long ? idk . its wierd .

    -xoxo

  • she sounds like news reporter

  • thats because she is:)

  • she is a news reporter =)

  • she is a news reporter lol .

    -xoxo

  • shade adjusting foundations don't work. If they did they wouldn't have three different bottles like light medium and dark. SO STUPID. this stuff is crap.

  • lol exactly !

    -xoxo

  • I can't believe I'm getting thumbs down for this crap. IT IS A GIMMICK PEOPLE. If it wasn't they wouldn't need three shades...plus the coverage sucks.

  • I would have to both agree and disagree with you. your right i would say - in my experience they don't match your shade. i mixed mine on a white tile with a stick and it went foundation coloured so yeah. however i found that it coincedently matched me skin pretty well and blended nicely and thats all i want my foundation today anyway. your right about the coverage too though, i have the revlon one and it's pretty streaky =/

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!

  • I agree with you on the almay concealer it didnt cover my dark under eye circles at all so now i just use it as an eye shadow base

  • You are so lovely, so pretty

  • omg you are super pretty

  • you are soo pretty!

ps, when you pronouns your Ss...it gives me chills...lol..weird me!!

  • Thank you, I heavily rely on your recommendations

  • Speaking of foundation comparisons, I'd love to hear what you think of the new Revlon Colorstay Matte Mousse. Your review of the original Colorstay foundation persuaded me to give that one a try and now its my everyday go-to makeup.

  • I like your review videos.

I think this kind of foundation is just a new way to promote the old ones. Nothing really new except that it looks "white" at the beginning.

  • Almay is an orangy foundation

  • In regards to the Almay concealer: I couldn't agree more Emily! I have it and have used it maybe 2 or 3 times and absolutely no coverage difference. Thank you for reviewing the rest. Youve save me $..

  • Great review.

Glad Almay worked beautifully on your skin. I usually like Almay, but this one didn't work because of my rosacea skin. =(

  • This is clearly not for us African American women...hahaha. : P

  • great video i love your nails are they tips

  • Thanks for the review on these foundations. I have been curious as to how well they work...Also didn't know Wet N Wild had a "smart shade"

  • Hi! Just wondering if you have one already or could do a video on the Kat Von D Concealer you mentioned?? and Where you got it? I would love to get my hands on some of that and see how you cover under eye circles with it?

  • yay for reviewing controversial products!! LOL :)

  • LOVE the lips!

  • thanks for this! i was always curious and wanting to try almays. Do you have a tutorial on the kat von d concealer?? i'd really like to hear a review on that..thanks:)

  • hey plz do review on milani concealer ..i have preety bad dark circles no concealer worked for me ...help me in finding best for me

  • This seems like just a scam. What difference does it make if the color breaks open from beads or is already mixed like any other tinted moisturizer?

  • the difference is the companies only have to make 1 product. and supposedly for the consumer, you don't have to try and match the shade. it's "suppose" to be dead on you skin tone, no matter what skin tone.

  • i think the product is definitely over-hyped in terms of being "magical"- but it does simplify things for the consumer- fewer options to choose from. Plus the Almay is actually quite a good foundation :)

  • its like im watching a news channel XD from the way u talk XD

  • Haha... She's an anchor on a morning news show :)

  • The Almay and the Wet & Wild packages are also very similar to the Revlon Beyond Natural Foundation ...

  • i dont get these products its the exact same as a light foundation - hm?? :)

  • You should try out the revlon one

  • I used to use the Almay Smart Shade Foundation when I wanted something lighter than my heavier foundation...but then I stopped using it because it turned a weird color and became really runny, like runny enough that when I would tip it up to squirt some out it would just drip and run out instead. Maybe I happened to get a bad one but that was enough for me to stop using it. That happened within about a month and half of using it I would say. So I would be very curious if this happens to you also

  • @L0vlyLulu I used to use the Almay's foundation too and yea it start running out on me too so I end up throwing it away. I barely used makeup in general, probably used the foundation five times only.

  • Hey Emily! I was just wondering, since you're on a shade adjusting foundation kick right now, if you're gonna test out the Revlon one. Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey I just wanted to warn everyone that this foundation after a month after purchase it will thin and get runny...yuck. Just a warning.

  • REVLON one is the best.....i simply love it!!

  • rili helpful!

  • thx for doing drugstore brands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wish that the companies would just tell it like it is, but i guess they wouldnt sell as much

  • Sounds like these types of foundations are just gimmicks.

  • Thanks for an honest opinion on this one. I am just one of em people that would not want to chg. it took me a long time to finally find the right one after so many dollars spent. One thing I have learned though, mostly when buying drugstore brand that if the color don't match I usually add moisturizer to lighten the product since im always picking a darker shade.

BTW you look great in here as always. Thank you once again.

  • thank you so much. I got the Almay foundation and it works okay. not the best foundation but like you said for the concept I will accept it. I was thinking of getting the concealer from almay aswell but I think now I will skip it for sure. Thanks again.

  • ur videos are so helpful=D thanx. I am planning on getting the almay one so this really helped

  • Thanks for this review, Emily. I was actually looking at the Almay products at the drug store today, but passed on them in hopes of seeing a review. Thanks so much!!! I probably won't venture this direction and go for the Revlon Colorstay instead.

  • ive actually owned the almay color smart foundation for a few years now, and i have SUPER light skin. i got the lightest shade they had and STILL couldnt wear it. it went from a white creame to dark brown, and as i rubbed (apprx. 2 mins) it became my skin tone. of course by then my skin was red from being so harshly rubbed i needed a different foundation!!!! dont reccomend t people with fair skin

  • i got the light/med in the almay brand too, but i feel like it's a little muddy looking on my skin? did you feel that way too?

  • the only wet n wild product that i can say is freaking good is the black gel liner. That liner is freakinnnnn good and doesnt run. The plum one sucks though for some reason it doesnt have the same intensity as the black one but for 3.99, i give it 2 thumbs up.

  • I was thinking the same thing about the tinted primer. If it adjusts to your shade, that means if you put it over a blemish, then it's going to adjust to the shade of your blemish and your blemish is still in perfect sight.. And when you said it has primer properties in it, that's what I though of. Use it as a primer, but not as a foundation. I say if you need the right color just pay a bit extra and go to the places where you can try the makeup first.

  • Cool review:]

    keep it up

  • The Almay looks great on you! I tried the Revlon Skinmatching one because it is the only color changing foundation that has options for women of color. It liked it okay..but it had the larger beading like the Wet n Wild and I didn't like that much.

  • i love your reviews!!!! very informative

  • Very gimmicky

  • ... i used to use that almay foundation but i hated it cuz it would look so nice in person but if i took pictures i looked like a ghost... like seriously a white maskk on my face ;(

  • Can you please do a review on the revlon one. I use the revlon colorstay foundation and like but I would like to know how the color adjusting one is.

  • can you review the kat von d tattoo concealor ? (: and any of her other products if you have them

  • ty I almost bought the product wet and wild ....

  • Maybe the shade adjusting products have to be lighter coverage because they rely on your skin tone shining through a little bit to get a more close color match. If they're full coverage and the color is slightly off, it'll look funny. If they're light and see-through, your skin color pops through and they can claim it matches your skin perfectly by magic.

  • well said, just what I was thinking:-)

  • i always wondered if it really worked . i was so unsure about it though..

    so thanks!!!

  • Thanks for the product comparison video!! I was wondering how those worked. I'm curious about the Revlon version too.

  • thank you for all of the reviews on these products... very helpful!!

  • i tried this at my friends house about an hour ago (the almay one, in light/medium, she has the same skintone as me), and i loved it. now after watching this, im gonna get my own tube now(:

  • can you maybe do another comparison video with the revlon one? thx!

  • I really want to try the Revlon one, ha.

  • My only problem with Almay is their lack of products for darker skin tones. None of the face products match my skin tone.

  • Have you tried the Almay shade adjusting blush?

  • OMG!! the colour of your shirt looks awesome on you!!

  • i've been wanting to try this, and i think i might. the almay i mean. (:

    thanks for the review.

  • always helpful! thnx emily!

  • I felt that the Almay was more like a tinted moisturizer.

  • I'm in love with my Almay foundation .. if you apply a thicker foundation to your "problem areas" first .. it works much better..

I got a free smart-shade blush with mine and it's also great! It mimics a natural flush rather than a contoured look -- it's good if your just cattin' around town or something .. nothing fancy and very easy to apply -- also .. not greasy!

    just my two cents!

  • You should try Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup, same idea, and also same kind of packaging. I really like it, and mine came with a free primer...bonus...haha

  • thank you for this video it's very helpful. we have bb creams in asia that is marketed as the miracle/wonder product (primer, foundation, sun block, whitening, and anti-aging cream) and color corrects but actually will only be good for women that are around nc25 at most nc30. haha miracle

i know revlon beyond natural has something similar that color corrects/adjusts to one's shade but ends up giving you diff shades of beige on your forehead, cheeks, depending on the warmth of your fingers o_0

  • wow...very helpful review..really help a lot...thanks emely...

  • I used the Almay one and I didn't really like it. It made my skin dry and it didn't really match my skin.

  • where did you by the wetnwild foundation because i have never seen it before or any of those other new products

  • i found the W&W foundation at my local CVS. It's also at my walmart

  • I was thinking about getting this. But, I think I'll try something else :]

  • I've tried the Almay foundation and I found that it was too yellow for me. I have a very warm complexion, and when I put it on it made me look kind of orange. Almost like it oxidized on my skin. It looks great on you, though! :)

  • revlon has one and it's prolly a med. coverage- its ok- its a lil drying for me but it has small sand like things it in instead of big ones* =)

  • i like your reviews Emily! I am glad you started making more of them, your good at really giving an honest opinion with good info like price and packaging. Thanks!

  • i used the almay smart shade concealer and i didn't really like it either. also, i used the revlon beyond natural foundation and it really didn't give me much coverage. i was upset =[

  • has anyone tried the almay smart shade blush? what do you think about it?

  • The almay made me look orange. I hated it.

  • I use the Wet&Wild one as an eye primer for my shadow...I like it for that! The Almay Smart Shade Concealer is also a great eye shadow primer...that's what made me try the Wet&Wild as an eye primer.

  • My friend put it on a white tile and it turned to the same color as it did on her face. So I'm guessing it doesn't actually work how it says it will - it just gives you the same color as anyone else. Good review Emily!

  • very helpful review :)

  • i love almays smart shade. i use it :)

  • Great review<3 I don't have that blend foundation from wet n wild at my drug store. After your review i wouldn't buy it anyways though lol.

  • Love your lipstick!!! Could you let me know what shade and brand it is??? Love it.

  • I've tried the revlon foundation like those and its the same as almay. I find it more as a tinted moisturizer. I tried the foundation on my brothers hand because he is darker than me and it was too light, so sadly, its not magic :( hah

can you do a tutorial on stippling your foundation?

  • revlon has same kind of formula named revlon beyond natural skin matching makeup...really gud

  • i love you for not just sticking to mac and other expensive brands :) great video, i always wondered how these worked.

  • i got the almay foundation and one of the blushes that adjusts to be your perfect shade ; FOR 3.99 ! at christmas tree shopp . omg i bought 4 paacks !

  • Thanks for your videos! They are very helpful!

  • thanks for this video ive been interested in shade adjusting foundations lately:P
