  • The narrator is really annoying. Please ditch the cheesy '90s game show host voice and just speak normally, it would make the video much more enjoyable.

  • Wow three Mopar vehicles. I guess the govt was not involved with this testing...

  • YOU DON'T BUY VAN FOR CARGO PURPOSES OK!!!!!!!!! IF YOU NEED CARGO SPACE, GET A PICK UP TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! VANS ARE FOR TRANSPORTING PEOPLE.

  • @dianthusboy Actually, quite a few people do. My boss bought a Town and Country because the loading floor is flat and large. She owns an art gallery, so she won't put her pieces in a pickup.

  • THE NISSAN QUEST IS THE BEST. IT'S THE MOST UNIQUE IN DESIGN AND SO SO SO JAPANESE. THE OTHER VANS IN THIS COMPARISON LOOK THE SAME.

  • 6 MINIVANS?????????? WTF?????????? THE TOWN&COUNTRY, CARAVAN, AND ROUTAN ARE THE SAME VAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE BADGE!!!!!!! THIS COMPARISON REALLY IS A 4 VAN CONTEST: THE SIEENA, QUEST, ODYSSEY, AND CARAVAN.

  • It's funny there is little mention of the incredibly stupid design on the Toyota second row. Once you get the seats out there are two trolleys left sticking out of the floor.

And they are *always* in the way!

  • Who actually likes the boxy look? Why didn't the Quest have a navigation? There version was only $38k. They couldn't afford the navigation or it isn't offered? Why did they compare two Chrysler companies? They are essentially the same van, the town and country just has more upgrades. Why did they use a $45k price range? Most families want a cheaper car than that. So many questions. Not the best review I've ever seen. Also, the Sienna has power fold third row, too.

  • Prospective buyers should know about maintenance costs and warranty demands of regular scheduled maintenance. Some manufacturers will void your warranty if you do not follow their scheduled maintenance, which utilizes a "replace before failure" philosophy. This schedule, if followed on other manufacturers, can show that all these vans are essentially the same in terms of quality. The price of the maintenance, however, can differ, check with dealers before purchase.

  • @DMlCK90 Hahahaha! Unintended acceleration! That's hilarious!

  • No Kia van? Also, a $45,000.00 price limit?!

  • I love the Town & Country.

  • these are far from mini just saying

  • wtf??? 3 chrysler's,toyota doesn't even place????????????????? These testers obviously got paid off by chrysler or something, especially when every review i've heard of the routan says it's crap, ooo, what now that the pentastar's in it it's better than a sienna???????????

  • Can't wait for the Fiat-engineered 2014 Chrysler Town and Country!!! Heard that it's Dodge sibling will be gone soon....

  • My parents have a 2011 Honda Odyssey. It's quiet and comfortable with tech features galore. Great road trip car!

  • I HAVE DRIVEN ALL THESE VEHICLE. I would rank TOYOTA SIENNA # 1 and HONDA ODYSSEY # 2 then NISSAN QUEST #3.

  • And ones again,Honda #1...

  • Chrysler van for number 2 - lol

  • who cares if the nissan quest doesn't have a navigation system: that don't make the vehicle

  • What about the fact that you can't stretch your left leg out to get comfortable in the Odyssey?

  • Town and Country is The same as dodge caravan and the volkswagen routan are the same i saw the logo of the chrysler town and country beside the name is the logo is improved

  • If you have never driven your minivan past 70mph, then i would understand why you would like Chrysler.

  • @DJBrothaIvan we did 110 mph on 2010 Chrysler on our last road trip, wasn't scary at all, it felt like 80mph on a full size sedan.

  • BULLCRAP ..I KNOW the Sienna is WAAAAY better than the Chrysler Bread boxes. I think they took this during the Toyota recall or something. The Chrysler feel like you're riding in a cardboard box on wheels, flimsy and lite. And drives like a carboard box on wheel too. You buy one & you WILL be disapointed. I beg you buyers to take both and compare side by side , and drive each for a full Day. i bet you will choose the Sienna over the Chrysler every time. Unless all you need a $20K minivan..??

  • Did he say f!@#$%^ nissan quest at 1:48/1:49

  • @HaloCOD816 Funky as weird/odd looking car not f*ck LOL!!

  • @HaloCOD816 No he said funky

  • i dont know about the american vans and the vw, but im PRETTY sure the sienna beats the odyssey anytime. interior, exterior, and even the engine lol. to be honest, i liked the look of the old odysseys over the old siennas but the new odyssey looks ridiculous. the windows look weird, and theres so much black plastic like the side mirror and the spoiler thing at the back. sienna se looks awesome

  • My Vote Is On Honda

  • I am not sure what the tests were based on, but the Honda is just too pricey. I was on the market for a mini van now that we're expecting our first kid and spent about 2 months finding the right car for us. I test drove all of the ones featured here plus the KIA Sedona. In the end it was between the Town and Country and the Grand Caravan. We ended up going with the 2011 Caravan Crew @$26K. With DVD screens +Sat radio. Only thing missing was navigation. IMO you can't get a better deal.

  • lol where did the toyota go?

  • I actually like the Sienna a lot, but compared to this $10K off MSRP deal it would cost $13K more real dollars to buy the comparably equipped XLE. Sorry folks, but in terms of ownership cost, you just are not gonna recoup $13K over the life of the car. The actual sell-for price difference (not the MSRP) prices the Sienna Quest and Odyssey at a serious premium to the Dodge, Chrysler and Routan.

Also, the Stow & Go seats are uncomfortable for adults, Routan has comfy 2nd row capt chairs.

  • Due to an October month end deal from VW, I just bought a 2011 Routan SE w Nav & DVD for $10K under MSRP. $25570 brand new. VW gives 3 yrs free maintenance also. No competitors can touch this deal with these features. I drove all the vans and Routan is easily the best handling with the beefier VW suspension components, and higher performance tires than the Chrysler & Dodge. No body roll or tire squeals at speed, honestly fun to drive.

  • Well, for $45k, you can get a Chevy Tahoe or Suburban, and they can actually go off road, a mini van usually can't.

  • @joshuatree1001 also, if you buy a black Tahoe or Suburban, black out the windows, you can have fun parking in front of people's houses, wearing black sunglasses. Great times making neighbours think the FBI is watching them.

  • Sienna is a POS! The interior is fucken garbo, just like all Toyota products today. And its noisy and pricy.

  • @chrysleristhebest1 people buying a minivan should take a look at the price of regular maintenance, as well as the demands of the warranty in terms of said maintenance. Some people may not be prepared for the cost of regular scheduled maintenance. Some manufacturers reliability is due to the maintenance schedule which forces owners to conform to replace parts before they fail, with maintenance like this you'll get miles out of any make. I've heard of GM minivans with half a million KMs on them.

  • Chrysler sucks for 2nd place,sienna should be 2nd

  • Seems a little fishy to me. Honda is #1 and Toyota is #6? Have a hard time believing that. Sienna will probably outrun (and be worth more than at trade-in/sale time) than all except the Odyssey. The Routan has terrible reliability ratings, and the Dodge and Chryslers score low as well. Routan is just a re-tooled old Dodge with a pseudo-luxury label.

  • HA HA TAKE THAT TOYOTA LOSERS!!!!

  • Sienna is way batter looking, driving and reliable then bunch and it's not on top 4 can't believe this review. It has way more option better engine and transmission then odyssey and buy the way Sienna is now Top selling Van and it beat Odyssey by a big margin even after all that Toyota recall no wonder why it didn't win in top 4.

  • Town & country #2 what I like to hear!

  • Yeah Honda odyssey won. Live on odysseys forever. Unbeatable!!!!!!

  • I thought it was interesting seeing John stepping out of a Mazda 5 when he started this video. An aside about the 5 would've been good--"If ya only got one to two kids, and that's all you'll be carrying, a Mazda 5 may be a good choice for you..."

  • @toyota4life94 haha i types fast ass wipe

  • @toyota4life94 yes but it does not has bls or all the safety features the t and c has standed and ive been in 2 2011 sienna almost every day we carpool and they r nice but still toyota is very werird right now

  • @toyota4life94 mybe but the power doors on 2011s suck plus how many recalls plus they r very expensive

  • @toyota4life94 why it will break down

  • well it's not hard to see that this was rigged..

  • Actually I heard the nissan quest was the most fun from cars.com....

  • Well I like the Odyssey, Sienna, and Routan (in that order). The Chrysler twins are mediocre. And the Quest... makes me want to vomit. I like Nissan but they F$#@ed up the Quest for 2011.

    July 7, 2011 2:57 am

  • @whattheheck1000 not really test drove all vans and the odyssey and sienna id put last

  • I like the Honda also but I'm not sure why Toyota didn't make the list.

  • @netman88 because it sucks odyssey should be 3rd

  • my list

    nissan quest

    sienna se

    odyssey

    chrysler

    dodge madza 5

    dodge

    vw

  • Overall, this comes to personal preference. Get a minivan that fits your choice. I would stay cautious with Chrysler/Doge minivans as there are still a few major reliability issues.

  • V tech just kicked in yo!

  • also does anyone find this stuff kind of lame over all

  • ok i dont usually give toyota much credit but the idea to invert the rear wiper and hide it under the roof spoiler is so smart. its really lame that all 3 of the chrysler van get a chance in this competition a few years for now there will only be one chrysler van

  • I think it's ridiculous to let all three Chrysler vans compete. Pick one, and put it up against the real competitors.

  • sucks how the sienna lost its position as a kick ass minivan...oh well the nissan is sweet but i guess u cant beat that pesky honda eh?

  • Were the Sienna and Caravan not ranked?

  • @notshylo they didn't make it to the top 4.

  • No. The ultimate family hauler is the station wagon. I want a comparison of the Cadillac CTS Sportwagon, Acura TSX Sportwagon, and the BMW/Mercedes equivalents.

As for minivans, The Chrysler twins are the only ones I'd get... more likely the sportier Dodge...

  • @Z34teen id would also deff pick a wagon first then an RT caravan then the honda

  • Respond to this video...

  • @Z34teen YES.

  • @Z34teen don't forget the Audi A3

  • Comment removed

  • wtf no Mazda 5??????? >:I

  • Im Very Sure If They All Had The $ To Go Buy A Van Right Now It Would Be The Sienna; How Dare They Lave It out?

  • I like the Nissan.

  • @XenomorphLV426

yea I think it is based on the elgrand, which had been boss's minivan around the world for the past 10+ years and had been rwd until now. Bearded guy clearly a Honda fanboy, complained the nissan as boxy (LMAO, he has never seen the old elgrands which is inspired by american vans like gmc safari). And said honda is clearly his choice for no reason. Oddyssey clearly a step or 2 below quest and sells for more, wtf.

  • Why didn't they test the Mazda 5? It's a little smaller than the rest of the vans, but doesn't it still qualify?

  • @thebenstrong nope another can of worms.......... this test has enough participants

  • They did right choosing the Odyssey 1st, but I feel the Nissan Quest should've been placed in 2nd place. The Town & Country is still loaded with quality issues & the Pentastar V6 still needs further refinement.

  • Nissan has the best interior of all should have came in 2nd, not a Crapsler.

  • I think they should have tested the top of the line version of each minivan and then compared what the manufacturers had to offer.

  • fuck!!!! i already buy a Sienna!!!!!!!!

  • @denisrenelara Lol that sucks for u!

  • I love the new Chrysler T & C and Nissan Quest. :-D

  • Not really that surprised the odyssey won

Looks like they saw how cheap the interior in the Toyota was and thats why it didnt come in the top 4 lol. We LOVE our 2011. Its got sooo much features. odyssey EX-L w/Nav

Video on my channel if anyone is interested =)

  • @hondaftw1234

just cuz u have it doesn't automatically make it a winner. you sound like the biased bearded guy.

  • Anyone who is going to engage in a comments war on Youtube discussing which is the better minivan has given up on life and clearly has nothing else to live for.

  • Sienna deserved a top 4 finish. The VW didn't. MotorWeek messed up there IMO

  • @sunny342 it dosnt becaus of how awful the interior quality is

  • @sunny342 why?

  • @hokman1 Well the Siennas are nearly on par with the Honda Odyssey and it is by no means worse than a Routon (last gen town and country).

Sienna is the only van with AWD.

Has a optional 8th seat (the middle seat in the 2nd row)

Toyota have great reliability (Hondas too, Chryslers not so much)

Includes same features as all the other vans except stow and go

But to be honest I must say that I am a toyota fanboy and probably wrote that comment enraged that my beloved toyota didn't get any honors.

  • IMHO the Nissan Quest deserved to be at least second. It has by far the best looking interior of any of those minivans, the Honda odyssey still uses the old keyless entry system, and has no push button ignition, the Quest does and has the smart key access system. It has the least cargo room BUT you can fold down all the seats without compromising the trunk. Idk, just my opinion

  • @datpimpinboy the interior in the quest looks almost exactly the same as the odyssey, so I would not say it has by far the best looking interior. I will admit that it has more padding than the odyssey but our 2011 is extremely comfortable. Its sooo much quieter then the 04 we had

  • @hondaftw1234 I didnt say the Quest is better than the Odyssey, that's why I said second place. But, the interior looks better in MY opinion, and has a couple of unique features that I think werent given much credit. But whatever, it's not really like I care about minivans, I was just saying.

  • @datpimpinboy nice to see nissan getting all the praise by youtubers, u guys know your stuff. It's based on the high class elgrand

  • @hokman1 Yea I really think the Nissan Quest deserved to be second place. But I guess the guys at motorweek didnt think the same.

  • @hondaftw1234 i don't doubt the odyssey is good, but please test the others before declaration

  • @hokman1 I did, and thats why we bought the odyssey

  • Was it me or did they just leave out the Sienna?

  • Probably because none of them look good. They've gone all boxy. The best minivan days were the late 90's, and early 2000s.

Flowing lines are good, rectangles with wheels are not.

  • @TheLoneJester you must like the 1st gen previa then. yea it has a lot of fans. but i think the new ones look more luxurious

  • It must suck not to be picked the top 4 out of 6 minivans ... Toyota has some catching up to do, not just the Sienna.

  • Nobody gives the mini van the love it deserves :( lol

  • First lol

  • @legendary351 No, your first to comment.
