  • Wtf are you talking boy.

I learned f2l and fridrich to solve the cube in the first place...

  • No

  • Sry, but that isn't clear.. I learn with monkeydude1313, he explain very well!

  • not very clear tutoriul

you know what your doing but....

    i dont have a clue

its so unclear, you dont explain alot,

and i dont like it ^.^

  • I absolutely like this video, except you didnt go with the cases when edge and a corner are paired up,not oriented good but inserted in the slot. Are there any algs for those cases?

  • this is nice.you great. thanks for teaching!

  • i hate it when your volume keeps sounding like is fading out then becomes loud then normal

  • thank you thank you thank you very much, really speeded up my cubing :D

  • This is a very good tutorial and i have used the fridrich method for a while but now i use the roux methd

  • nice thanx been taking long routes using F2L and these are much easier

  • thank you very much.....it helping me

  • This is an excellent video which covers important nuances!! Thanks.

  • nice method.Do we really have to memorise all the algorithms of OLL & PLL?

  • Comment removed

  • I think you should have covered when you have a piece flipped in the bottom layer and you line the corresponding corner then use (for right, F R Fi ) and left ( Fi Li F) to match the pair and place it in it's slot instead of placing it on top sometimes is faster that way depending on the positioning

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG THAT'S THE EXACT SAME CUBE I HAVE! I WAS EXPECTING SOMEONE TO HAVE THIS CUBE SOMETIME ON YOUTUBE SO BADLY

  • What kind of cube are you using? I'm trying to find a cube for speed cubing.

  • sorry, i meant "Good Job plurple 73"

  • i personally thought this was a good tutorial. i had to watch it a few times, but i was able to get the hang of it. you people are mean. Good Job guitarhero

  • dude i solve a rubix cube in 50 and i use the beginner method

  • @CartmanKicksAss11 So can I but Fridrich is faster.

  • oh my god its micheal jackson back from the grave

  • Too many algorithms, im going back to Heise method

  • If I used algorithms, wouldn't it eventually be much faster to solve? But I guess you can use you method as small algorithms, and then, of course, getting the pieces to the top layer has to be intuitive.

  • this helped

  • fuck this algorithm it take me 1 min to solve f2l

  • i don't have really strange problems

  • I knew that the standard method wasn't the fastest way!

  • lmao... "ok so you get it there then you turn in there and you put it there and go like that and then there."

  • Lubricated my cube with ENGINE OIL COOKING OIL VASELINE WD40

  • if my best time with beginniers method is 24 secs and average of 5 is 33 secs how much will it improve with this method?

  • i don't know if i figured it out really fast, but that was pretty easy to learn

  • what cube is that? rubiks diy? dayan guhong? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME!!

  • ?????

  • great!!! fridrich FINALLY makes sense thanks so much!

  • hey.. i solve it top side up.. i solve in about 1 30 sec.. i blame it on my slow hands

  • how do i like get the next peice in after i get the edge and middle (red and greens) in :s the f2l method i never rlly understand

  • i like the way tha you explain the method i subbed :-)

  • Thank you very much, you helped me a lot. Best regards,

  • Lol "u got a problem" some people actually solve upside down

  • this kid is frum jersey

  • awesome video man, took me so many replays of the video to understand but i got it eventually :DD

  • Comment removed

  • awesome man that helped me alot. took me like 15 minutes to learn all the steps

  • Thanks, you helped so much. This tutorial is better than so many others I have seen.

  • I learnt how to solve the rubiks cube using dan browns method. what should i do next learn some finger tricks, try oder methods or what??

  • wat were the steps from 6:21 to 6:48

  • u fail at explaining -_-

  • @yugioh9613 No, your brain isn't strong enough to understand. I understood what he was saying 100%.

  • @clickclocks no. lol trust me when i say this my brain is strong enough. its strong enough to get a world record. but id just have to work hard towards it. lol

  • Grat; I like your A perm algorithms

  • your VOICE IS LOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDD

  • When you say turn it the opposite whatever, and you turn the top layer until you have the two lined up, what if the corner piece isn't facing the right way?

  • maybe you have strange problems,,, cus you DONT NEED TO SOLVE IT WITHIN 1:10 u idiot

  • wow useless no algerithems

you just said okay keep twisting and then put them into place fucked up

  • you turn it upside down like this,, if you dont you have really strange problems... hahahaha nice

  • too much mouth...

  • Awesome!! im starten to get the hang of it !!!! this vid rocks!!!!!

  • its kind of annoying how the voice goes in n out but watever

  • 84 guys duno how solve ruik cube and smash their rubik cube on floor

  • lol...you suck!loser!!

  • i think i got i ty dude

  • What cube do you use?

  • thankyou!! I haad to watch it a lot but i finally can do F2L, not very well, but it's a start.

  • that cube is sick where did you get it

  • @laxgoalie4life dude he said ebay use your eyes

  • OMG thank you so much. i actually understood what you said lol. yeah, thanks again. just a question, though: if you're able to memorize this thing and get really good at it, how many seconds would you be able to solve it? on average, i mean.

  • good explanation thanks

  • FREEDRICK is how it's pronounced.

  • This is genius in it's simplicity, thank you so much.

  • lol if you don't flip it to the other side then you have some strange problems. how is that?

  • great! U have to watch it multiple times for every situation but at least its not too confusing. I subbed:)

  • @theguitarhero649

glad I could help SOMEONE lol.

  • @plurple73 :) on thing i didnt see covered though was when like the corner piece has two colors matching on top and and one where there is "criss crossies" but with no white on them, only cirss crossed colors.

  • I was able to learn f2l without knowing how to solve a rubiks cube, u dont need to average 1:00minute, i learned it from CubeRight :)

  • what is PLL and OLL??

  • I didn't understand SHIT in the beginning, but I realized what you were trying to say, so I studied it a little myself and figured it out. Thanks for getting me started, just like Dan Brown. I didn't learn much about the solving, I did learn the algorithms, but now I'm solving without cause it's easier, and faster.

  • where did you get your cube?

  • same colours on top, "white" facing person :P...? u missed that

  • is that a real cube? looks diff

  • @soulstice99 No, its not a real cube, it is a piece of grass

  • LOL!!!

"You turn the cross onto the bottom, and if you don't, you have really strange problems..."

    Hahahaha

  • You should solve the cross on the bottom, not on the top and then reorienting it.

  • hey thanks alot man u did a really good job on the tut 5 ive watched many videos on this method and this is the only one that actually taught me thanks again man

  • i just realized something~ I'm stupid

  • Still hav'n trouble

  • i neeeed algoirthms

  • lol turn it up n get in in its slot 3:08

  • really good

  • why the hell is there emo on the tags

  • I MIGHT BE FASTER BUT but i can not do it fast..is there any other method

  • Where did you buy that cube? It's so fast!

  • I fully understand the F2L method, but i think it's hard to do it fast..

    Iv'e got problems locating the pieces when speedsolving /;

  • nobody understand the method you nerd

  • you don't really even need a tutorial for the fridrich method. Just print off a bunch of algorithms like he did. I'm gonna go do that.

  • U MAKE NO SENCE!!!!!!!! I A GOOD BEGINNER CUBER THAT SPENT LOTS OF TIME ON ALGORITHMIC MEMORIZATION AND I CNT EVN GET GOOD INTUTIVE FRIDRICH EXPLANATION. but u tried. lolz. XD make another plzzzzzzzzzz.......

  • I actually have a friend who solves her F2L upside down.

  • its DIAGANAL to an open spot XD

great tutorial though dude its gonna help me big time

  • rated one star. :(

  • i understood it all up until the ending. wat do i do after ive got the 2 edges?

  • That is because you are stupid! This was a good explanation.

  • i dident get enything of what you said... you are indeed a very bad explanier...

  • did anyone else find the voice EXTREMELY anoying?

  • @dtdude42 No but i think u r

  • @TheRubixGuy so i'm annoying for asking a question? typical youtube loser... taking things too personally. originally i thought maybe it was just bad audio, but now i'm thinking that it is your real voice, because it matches your attitude

  • @dtdude42 yes i did lolz

  • @dtdude42 nope. your just mad because you can't do this way.

  • @aMinisculeFly 1. I can do it this way. I watched better videos to learn it. 2. It appears that you are in the minority on this issue, based on the number of people who gave my comment a 'thumbs up,' but thanks for the input anyway. Have a nice day :)

  • @dtdude42 how am i the minority? i guess you think your better than me because you use perfect punctuation. well, dont be so arrogant, because it doesnt.

  • @aMinisculeFly As I stated, 27 people gave my comment the 'thumbs up.' You and one other person (the creator of the video) disagreed with me. That puts you in the minority. (27-2) I'm sorry if you were offended by my obsessive need for correct punctuation.

  • very hard to follow/understand...wait!

    no it isnt !

    thanks so much

  • thanks. and thats a sexy cube.

  • I understand the method, but I feel like it'd be easier if I had the algorithms, lol.

  • if you do it the algorithm way theres like 50+ to learn.

  • @Thanos828: look here: ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/cube.html

  • YOU ROCK! i understand it now. 5/5 i subbed

  • Umm... maybe too fast and the rubik's cube background is white wich is a bit disturbing...

  • its not technically a "rubiks" brand cube he has there its an Eastsheen cube made over in japan i think i have one too its not the same as rubiks brand but its still a cube like it

  • There is no eastsheen 3x3x3.That is probably type A.

  • um explain what that one is and the one i have is

    wtf is a type A?

  • I am guessing that is a type A he has.

Your I can't tell what it is if I haven't seen it at all.

  • hmm. I got it! now I need to do it faster

  • cool cube :Dmine has neon yellow, neon blue and neon green and drk turqoise, drk purple and hot pink xD

  • lol i got the same cube as u bt i didnt get it in ebay... got it from a random shop while travelling

  • please stop teaching, this was horrible!

  • @reaktionskanone

71 thousand views is not horrible, that's just your shitty opinion.

  • @AfroMageman

guess i'm gonna have to drop a video featuring 5mins with only a glass of mustard and call it "megan fox blow job" - same result.

  • OOOMMGG thank you soooo much man, ive been trying to learn off of other videos for soooo long, then i learned how to do it with this one like the second time watching it, good job!

  • Merci à Jessica, c'est gràce à elle si mon record est de 11.40 secondes :)

  • hahaha where did you buy that cube!!

  • confusing and didnt help =/ explain more thoroughly on the steps of what to do on getting the edges matching

  • Fridrich or Petrus? I'm learning Petrus right now.

  • What's Petrus?

  • Haha and I know someone who doesn't flip over for the second layer!

  • Thanks alot! I watched this video for 1hour (Yes, I'm serious, I watched it for 1 hour) and I got it! I know how to use this method now! Thanks dude! =D

  • lolzz!!! xD!.

  • well its a good tutorial, but you biggest flaw is in the first step, you solve the cross on top! if you ever get to be really good, that will waste .7 seconds of precious time to turn it over!

  • Thanks

i can do it in my old method for 2 min

but when i used F2l it became less than 1 min.

    ^^

  • thanks its a nice video and it really helped... with a little work im gna smash my 32sec record on the old method.. however it is a little unclear at times... although i can hardly blame you for that :P

    thanks... good vid

  • no problem just I glad I could help!

  • thnx dude!!after watch ur video,,i can do it less than 30 sec. after [ractising for a month!!

  • i spin fast and can't break two minutes..damn..i haven't watched this method yet though...

  • where do u get those cubes i cud only find the regular ones

  • cubikon(dot)de

  • i dun understand...

  • not very many people do srry I tried my best like I said its hard to explain.

  • nvm that... found it...i was stupid... sorry

  • i get this thing pretty well but er.... where is part 2?

  • thank you very helpful

  • no problem just glad I could help.

  • not trying to be mean but i get like 45 seconds using the beginners method and 2 minutes using the fridrich method

  • I got like 40 seconds on beginers because i was used to it then i learned Fredrich and no i can get like 30 seconds PRACTICE

  • because its harder to learn if you keep practising you will get faster and faster. EVERY ONE got slower before they got fast

  • very true.

  • thanks man i figured it out like january of last year, i'm sub 20

  • nice dude

  • I would like to add that I appreciate your referencing the algos at cubewhiz. It's neat that your doing so has the added effect of making us realize that nobody

has a lock on them. What you do is cool. It's good to have a teacher one can totally identify with. I also appreciate your "finger tricks." AND I now understand what you mean by intuitive. I think it's solving by intuition that makes the speeding up possible.

    Thanks again,

    Rbelbur

  • Thanks for the comment I just try to help people having trouble. intuition does make it possible to solve faster, because your not using algorithms, or having to memorize like 50 of them.

  • I'm very comfortable waching your tutorial. We all know that you have cube-solving down solid, but you are open to your own foibles and this is reassuring to me. The fact is, your video has come at just the right time because I need to be more relaxed about what I'm doing. I have one perhaps simple-minded question. I don't see a discussion anywhere about how to create an officially scrambled cube. How is such a state constituted?

    Thanks,

    Rbelbur

  • Thanks for the positive comments, its nice to get those once in a while lol. Anyway I'm not really sure what your question is asking, so maybe if you can rephrase it, I might have a better idea.

  • The best way to 'scramble a Rubik's cube' is to do it the way the World Cube Association gets their cubes ready to be solved. To do this they run a computer program (which uses a random scrambling algorithm) and it tells them how to set up the puzzle. The program (and details) can be found at my source.

  • Dude, its easy to scramble the cube, just do any random movement an voila

  • a true scramble has no centers matched with their corresponding side centers..i still take over 2 minutes using dan browns algorithm list..and thats spinning quickly..how to break 2 minutes is beyond me....

  • Dude, who cares about the scramble, its just to do the cube again and make your friends go ZOMFG HOW DI YOU DO DAT! 0.0

  • you mean edges...

  • WTF????!!!!! Sooooooo confusing....

  • FRID-RICK

    NOT

    FRID-RICH

  • lol dude ur wrong - its frid-rich

  • 100% incorrect. "ch" in Czech does not make the English "ch" sound.

Similar to how the German "ich" is not itch.

  • Your explanition makes no sense at all. I'm better off using algorithms to solve my cube

  • i can solve using lbl but i just cannot get my head around f2l, i understand that your moving in blocks which makes sense but i get confused while watching. decent vid, i must be a dumbass! lol

  • starting w/ the cross is the shitty way of solving it. that 1:10 a wayyy slow average. dont listen to rowley920, there's nothing wrong w/ ur voice.

  • god your voice is annoying

  • hey dude, very clear... thanks...

  • i get it. if you dont understand you are a fucking simpleton. enough said!

  • this is hard to understand

  • dude you are fucking horrible at explaining

  • you make complete sense to me manXD its just i keep forgetting what to do :/ but your the number one person ill come back too. LAZINESS ROCKS!!!

  • The Fridrich is fucking annoying!!

  • f*** i wathced this a 100 times and i don't get it...

  • thx for this vid... you were helpfull to me (Y)

  • i know purple is a good cuber but better f2l tutorial is a think the one made by pixel guy named

Simple F2L - Intuitive Fridrich Method for Rubiks

if you have problem with this i suggest to watch not only this tutorial but alos that one mentioned above :) HF solving ur cube
