  • Comment removed

  • I glad both of these guys got over their beef and made a sick ass song :)

  • jay REALLY ha to step his game up to get on a track with a legend like nas.

  • Jay Z N Nas r legendary.

  • jayz is frail

  • lmao at herman cain this his soundtrack

  • Immortal Technique is better...

    Golpe De Estado!

  • Herman cain disliked it 7 times

  • @wiichamp3 how long did it take you to think of that one?

  • how did this ugly sellout get beyonce and i cant believe nas didnt go for her kelis wtf that was a bad move cos now she gt his kid and a divorce lol

  • nas verse was good...jiggas verse was better...songs mad hot

  • Nas verse smashed it! brilliant!

  • Nas's verse is murdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • best intro ever ( 0:00-0:59 )

  • Nas could did another verse

  • Jay Z Nas and AZ need to make an album together and call it "The Empire" that would be so dope.

  • any1 clocked the sample is from godfather 2?

  • @SuperMjw88

    yup 'marcia religiosa' :)

  • This joint make me feel good.

  • Maybe im a prisoner of the moment but this is the best song ive ever heard from jay-z. And i have all his albums! Or it could be i like how he rapped over the godfather anthem! Whatever its simply amazing.

  • @DCProductions77 lol nas verses far outweighed jays

  • @SuperMjw88 okay comprehension my friend nobody said anything about nas! Or that jay-z verse was better than nas. The state meant i was comparing jay-z verse here to his others. Thats it. So if nas is some how better or worse thats irrelevant to my conversation. Cause it was never brought up! And I agree nas is always more lyrically gifted than jay-z and probably smarter. But with that said, I feel jay-z more cause i don't need to go deep on every song like nas. Simple is nice sometimes

  • Jay-Z made 65 million US dollars in 2010, Diddy made 45 million US dollars in 2010, Eminem made in the range of 60 million US dollars in 2010, 50 CENT made 100+ million dollars in 2008, Dr.Dre hasn't released an album in years and he made 36 million US dollars in 2010.... HIP HOP AINT DEAD LOL

  • @iSoldMySoul2ThaDevil lol i dont think all that was from album sales so basically the smart rappers are turned into business men.. hip hop is definitely dead the shit they play on the radio is a disgrace to music

  • @HumorJoint yea but without hip hop they'd be nothing so my point still stands

  • @iSoldMySoul2ThaDevil I think hip hop is dead was more of the idea that hip hop sucks nowadays, although in '06 I still found hip hop enjoyable so whatever...

  • @iSoldMySoul2ThaDevil You dont know what your talking about. That is so inaccurate

  • @WanP313 it's 100% accurate actually

  • In the first verse is Jayz rapping about getting head from Nas's baby's mom??

  • kanye, jay z,and nas should have a song on jay and kanye west new album

  • the beat is from Marcia Religiosa by Carmine Coppola 1974

  • Best beat of 06'

  • Nas is the best rapper alive

  • @MissSamira59 no doubt

  • @MissSamira59 There's still a good few, I think Canibus is in that sector too

  • @MissSamira59 I disagree. I think nas is boring and he sucks. He is not even in my top ten. And no I dont fuck with new school. I love ol school just not nas wack ass

  • @thamaineone

boring kidding ? well that's your opinion ...

  • Jay Z's verse sounds like an apology. Nas kills it (as usual) on a completely unrelated verse. Definitely a digital collaboration.

  • I can totally see the producer making this beat and freaking out when he heard it fully. This is TOO sick

  • sample any1 ???

  • @rodeman It's from the Godfather II soundtrack: the song is murder of don fanucci or marcia religiosa (both sound kinda the same, though they're different). It was composed by Nino Rota and Carmine Coppola

  • This song goes hard!

  • love the beat

  • its like Jay-z stepped in just as Nas was about to steal the show ha

  • @thatladfromsheffield They both killed it!!

  • rothschild run your lives just check your wallet

  • Listening to the chorus in this song, you actually a feeling of what each rapper is about which is consistent with their careers.

Jay- Black Republican Money Keep Coming In

    (About the Money)

Nas- Black Militant Taking Over the Government

    (About Change)

  • @blackmage989 you got that right

  • @blackmage989 Yo that's so true man. Word Up.

  • @blackmage989 ur right

  • @blackmage989 that's why the best rapper is not as rich as jay is :c

  • @blackmage989 Jay Z a Republican? That must be why he secretly posed as a Democrat to join with other rappers like DMX, Ludacris, Will.I.Am., and Jermaine Dupri in hyping up the younger voters to elect Barack Obama. You forgot one thing. Like many Democrats, rappers such as Jay Z spend millions on material things they don't need. It don't matter how much they make, I doubt they'll donate any of it to the starving in Africa.

  • @Rawk4Life Why donate to starving people in Africa? You know that make the country worse. It will make them depend on other people to get of their feet instead getting of their own. They always wait for relief because they expect it.

  • @Samperor No, it will make them say "Wow! Someone does want to see us survive afterall." You know why there are so many starving people in Africa? Because their economy is a million times worse than ours is. The minimum wage out there is probably less than $2/hr.

  • @Rawk4Life $2/hr?! Most people in Africa live for LESS than $1 a DAY!

  • @blackmage989 fuck you!!! have you even heard anything from reasonable doubt? probably not you probably heard everyone else hating on jay z and you wanted to be cool and jump on their dicks. nas's "made you look" wasnt about change, but it was still good i dont see you hating on that. "hate me now" wasnt about change. fuck you you're another blind closed minded fuck. fuck you go to hell.

  • @blackmage989 What has nas really accomplished besides making crap rap music and being a consistent hypocrite with everything he says and does. Do the knowledge nas is a fake at least jay z tell the truth on what he is about.

  • @thamaineone how is nas a hypocrite? how is nas fake? if nas makes crap rap music why are so many rappers that are good influenced by him? how is nas a fake when so many people from the hood respect him? if you ever make a comment saying something negative about someone, make sure you know what the fuck your talking about.

  • Godfather II!

  • GOTTA LOVE !!!

  • i hope u guys know nas is the farest thing from a republican, he is very librel

  • This song has nothing to do with mainstream politics.....stfu already

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody should be republican

    white or black

  • @FarLeftRevolution fuck u no one should be democrat...democrats clearly are what ruined this country

  • @StatenIzzy1 If you are black I am ashamed of you (I never said that you should be Democrat)

Conservatives are the ones who allowed and fought FOR slavery

Conservatives are the ones who oppressed blacks

Conservatives are the ones who take away our freedom by vilifying benign substances and brainwash the youth

Conservatives are the ones who have been bought out by corporations such as Wal-Mart

How in the name of fuck could anyone want to be a Republican? They are monsters

  • @FarLeftRevolution Actually, the political parties have shifted their views overtime, so what constituted a Republican during the civil war and reconstruction era, most likely is completely different than what constitutes a republic today. For one i have some conservative views but I find slavery wrong. You sir are ignorant.

  • @a1jake123 What are you talking about... during the civil war, The Republican party was liberal, and the Democratic party was conservative

    Clearly the parties shifted

Considering that the south was all Democrat then, and is currently Republican, proves that the modern Republican party is conservative and in the 1800's would've sided with slavery.

Just that you are conservative, but anti-slavery just says that you are not a reactionary

The Republican Party, unlike you, is reactionary. Retardation

  • @FarLeftRevolution just because you are conservative and dont think that we should just hand out money for BS programs doesn't make you a monster. the people who work hard deserve the money, and that said it should be used wisely. also conservatives no longer oppress blacks. it is virtual impossible to oppress anyone because of the removal of Jim Crow laws and federal equal employment opportunity laws. your ignoranse is incredible, typical liberal.

  • @a1jake123 People who work hard were given an opportunity to. LOL CONSERVATIVES NO LONGER OPPRESS BLACKS? Maybe you should go hang out in a seedier neighborhood. You'll see how many blacks are disrespected by the police for no reason.

Saying Black people are currently equal to white people is incorrect. You are the one with great "ignoranse"

    lrn two speel

  • @FarLeftRevolution you relize the police are part of a union, and most union members are liberal. you are ignorant

  • @a1jake123 that's hilarious because last time I checked, you don't have to want to be in a Union to be in a Union.

I know plenty of idiots who think that Unions are bad, but they're still part of them.

  • @FarLeftRevolution and this is why there are so many war: idiots talk about politics and religion

  • @FarLeftRevolution lmaoo and democrats say the same thing everytime....im mixed and i hate nigas cuz they always think everythings racist..slavery ha dnothing to do with race..europeans only chose blacks because ther eown people sold them into slavery and they were the most vulnerable ones for slavery...if the arabs at the time were weak europeans wouldve used them as slaves..except the arabs had strong military blacks didnt..ur also acting like africans were the only slaves in history stupid

  • Jay got his style....no doubt....nas is a poet.....they're both on point

  • I personally dont like most of jay-z's work, but thats me, i like him in this song and a couple others. I much prefer the likes of pac, nas, game, eazy e, but like you said we all entitled to our opinions.

  • Honestly...idc what anyone feels....you can send me the nastiest replies and i won't reply back....but Jay Z is way better than Pac and Big...i mean come on they came out with a few albums, they have some GREAT music...but honestly that's where it stops because there is nothing else to judge them off of, but with Jay Z he came with constant #1 albums and steadily changing "evolution of style" and making it better, say what you want, but it's just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own too

  • @smajied09 i mean jay isnt a better lyricist than pac. i cant think of a jayz album better than a pac album even if jay has more. i used to like jay untill BP3 and all the bullshit tied to it, but he is one of the best. its true ppl dont give jay credit for his more introspective songs, but those songs are few. he mostly brags on his status and dwells on his past. 90% of pac songs speak on relatable issues even to this day aka timeless music.

  • @ninehundredhiphop i understand your view, but i will have to disagree with some parts I do think he is a better lyricalist, and there is a lot of songs that prove it, but i do agree BP3 wasnt his best, it was a lot of flossy lyrics, but seriously what else does he has to rap about? I mean he can cover the big topics that goes on in the world, but i guess he doesn't do it that much because it would be like beating a dead horse

  • @ninehundredhiphop and if pac was still alive till this day, don't you think he would dwell on his past also? but that's all i have to say, this is my view and that is yours so im not going to tell you that you may be wrong it's your opinion, peace to you

  • @smajied09 peace bro, but these small debates are good as long as ppl leave the hate behind.

  • @ninehundredhiphop yeah your right, but i don't know you so i didn't know how you were going to take it

  • @ninehundredhiphop jay z's reasonable doubt is better than any pac album...fact.

  • @ejazzjeff better than all eyez on me,makaveli, me against the world? most people cant relate to or understand half the things mentioned on reasonable doubt. while pac tried to connect to people through his music. dont get me wrong jay is nice but his catalog isnt as good or creative as pac's...or nas for that matter. rhyme for rhyme jay isnt as good as any of the heavywieghts from the 90s....fact. with that said jay has no real lyrical competition in today's climate except for nas.

  • @ArmorbyGod y are ppl always on pac's lyricist he was not creative. They are ppl who talk about what he talks about that are more creative than him like Common, Talib Kweli and etc. Pac was lyrically average and that attractive ppl becuase most ppl that listen to hip hop are unfortunately stupid...sorry i mean not savvy...lol! Pac talks about the same stuff the same way on different albums so how is that creative. Actually name a creative 2pac song?

  • @ejazzjeff pac was very lyrical. im not sure you understand what lyrical means, but its basicaly being able to express emotions through literature,music,and/or poetry. pac did this consistanty.the "same stuff" pac talks about is THE SAME STUFF my ppl been going through for years. which is what this "not savvy" crowd relates to. i wont tear down jay's career for the sake of argument cuz ima hip hop fan.

Me&Girlfriend is an example of pac's creativity.go listen to BP2 if you forgot LOL!

  • @ArmorbyGod First of all Me and my girlfriend is a very weak version of Nas I Gave Your Power where he got the idea from...so he gets no points for creativity. Secondly to be lyrical in hip hop is not just about emotion you have to come with the word play, metaphors and punchlines as well and thats wat seperates hip hop from other genres. U say pac talk about wat ppl relate to but every song that has been made by every musician relates to someone in their own way.

  • @ejazzjeff lol@you son. i like your logic on creative points. i guess any song thats inspired by anything isnt the creative, if thats even the case. Me&My Girlfriend=female persona of a weapon/I gave you power=first person account from a gun's perspective. both very creative. lyrical in hip hop is exactly what the definition says. alot of cats have wordplay with empty messages. at this point i dont even know what your angle is. if you dont like pac then fine but denying his talent is retarded.

  • @ArmorbyGod I do like pac...he is #5 on my Top 10 list because of his influence. Lets be real Me and my girlfriend was not that lyrical. But when you can be lyrical with a message like a Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Eminem and etc it makes you a better all round MC. Some ppl have 2pac as the greatest of all time because of his impact and influence but real hip hoppers know that he was the best to 'spit on the MIC...bar for bar' thats all im saying.

  • @ejazzjeff Nas is the illest no doubt but come on "I gave you power" sounds nothing like "Me and My Girlfriend". Punchlines and metaphors don't make an MC an MC like Pac all he needed was emotion because a lot of times emotion is stronger than words Think about Eminem's "Stan" not very lyrical no real word play but the world felt his pain. That is why the beef between Pac and Big was so long and impossible to take a side. It was Lyrical Mastermind ( Biggie) vs Emotion Genius ( Pac ).

  • @ArmorbyGod wait wait wait, its jayzs consistancy that seperates him fromother rappers, every album he dropped was classic, nas struggled after illmatic

  • @murph277v i never said anything negative about jayz.. but all jayz albums are not classic. -Kingdom Come, BP2, BP3, Vol. 3, American Gangster-. he drops above average albums on a consistant basis. even when the other dude was talking negative about pac i never shitted on jay. im not a jayz fan but i think he is one of the best. nas post-stillmatic has dropped more lyrical projects like Nigger,Distant Relatives,God's Son. what you call struggling i call staying true to himself.

  • @ArmorbyGod in my opinion i think kingdom and especially american gangster are extremly underrated,i love the way american gangster is like reading book, from the rise and fall of a hustler, its classic in my eyes, granted the albums you named have fillers but songs like a dream,so ghetto, hova song, beach chair(one of jays best songs),lost ones etc,but bp3 is average for jays standards, jays best songs on some of his albums are overshadowed by some of his singles eg.show me what you got on kingdom

  • what the hell r u talking abt, people will hate on jay coz he is no longer an underdog, eveyone loved him when poor. u need to understand jay flow by visiting rapgenius.american gangster is classic according to critics like pitchfork

the dynasty is more lyrical to all nas shit xcept illmatic

  • @Moyabeast i dont care what a critic says. ima hip hop fan kiddo, fuck that bullshit. i never said anything bad about jay so i dont even know what you talking about. i like both those dudes but its obvious nas took a more creative route while jay chose mainstream.

you look like a real life clown saying the dynasty is more lyrical than any nas album. you should delete that.

  • "Democrats have been in Washington DC only bc of the negro vote. You put them first & they put you last. The party you back controls 2/3 of the gov't & they still can't keep their promise to you.Any time you put your weight behind a political party & they control the whole gov’t & they can't keep their promises & you are dumb enough to still identify with that party you are not only a chump but a traitor to your race”Malcom X

  • Check out "Connecticut" by BennyGhost this track is fire!! YouTube BennyGhost

  • fat nigger

  • Fuck Gay-Z, Nas shoulda just ended his career instead of teaming up with him...

  • @2Trill2ILL im sorry u cant appreciate good music

  • @moneyminded419 I'm sorry you support bitch ass niggas that feed off other rappers fame. Only reason Gay-Z made it is because Pac and Big died. No one would even slap his shit while they were alive.

  • @2Trill2ILL so maybe he does. its still a decent song. i never said i liked how it was made. no reason to get bitchy at me

  • @flowretro Didn't Jaz-O end up dissing him with Game?

  • jay z and nas classic dam.....idk do i like 50 now well his mixtape shit i dont buy albums they suck

  • damn jayz went hard

  • 2:49-2:55 is the best part of this great song

  • Jay's verse is more straight foward, gives you a literal picture. Nas has a bunch of metaphors in it. Kind of a microcosm of both of their styles. Both are ill in their own way.

  • i started thinking jay was garbage after blueprint 2, but nas is still a king and this collabo is epic.

  • NAS FLOWS

  • nah nothing popped off again @SANTHIIII, homey's just late lol

  • Even though I don't really care for Jay z too much, this track is classic.
