  • No offence but UB40 is hardly "fathers of reggae" Reggae music was 20 years old (at least) before they even formed as a group.

  • well all i can say is i love UB40 and that is the great thing about the world, if you dont like them, dont watch them/listen to them.

  • hes so cute in this video xxxx

  • SLIGHTLY STOOPID VERSION BETTER

  • could you buy this film from anywhere, great stuff, thanks for posting

  • whoa i love this song

  • WONDERFUL

  • classic

  • Killer tune! I loved these guys but this tune was my fave! 70s and 80s Ska was hands down the best. English Beat, Madness and these guys were the pinnacle for me.

I agree, this is a haunting, classy song. Man, I loved both Ska & Reggae. In Seattle they had Sun Splash tours w/several acts & the shows would go for 4-6 hours or better. People passing along baggies & botas of vino, spliff's being passed along. Man this tune is taking me back to some great times!

    Right on, thanks Brother!

  • this is a brill tune the spliffs were good 2!!!

    lol

  • my mum absolutely loves this song.its wicked.

  • Not a UB40 fan, but this song is surprisingly infectious and haunting. I heard the Slightly Stoopid version thinking it was an original. I like both versions a lot...but I have to say, one thing the original has over the cover is the cool synthesizer chords backing up the chorus...great song!

  • well the brummy lads do great always ;~) i love um xxxxx

  • another ub40 favorite.never knew a video existed...cool

  • anyone else think this was fillmed in digeth bus station

  • it was in digeth stasion most of there vidios are filmd around birmingham

  • That's because their studio is very near to the bus station...

  • @clairedavecam i was beeing sarkie

  • ya i like slightly stoopids better

  • same, but this version and good, and if it werent for them then slightly's version wouldn't exist

the whole slightly not stoned enough to eat breakfast yet stoopid album is sick (not a fan of the punk shit though)

  • agreed. theyre punk stuff sounds like bad skateboard music.

  • they're a punk rock band, and they skateboard.

  • listen to their cd's dude.. less than a quarter of their albums are punk.. they've reached success with their reggae influenced music. i got nothin against skateboarding, i just think theyre punk songs suck, they should stick to their strengths

  • I would have to agree with Kind2311, who thinks up this stuff? Wtf is pakis? Kiddy Fiddler? Is that like a petaphile? You bloody Brits are BARMY!!! (atual brit slang, I looked it up)

  • great song and video.

    i was in the video

"DANCE WITH THE DEVIL" (ive got a copy)....

    gez the fez...

  • Lol, i like your style m8.

  • No just being born as you was....in bred. Thats the ultimate insult.

  • HEY! . . . .im a half white half mexican from cali, we don't fuck our relatives out here. thats east-coast Appalachian foothills-style. ever seen 'deliverance?' ugghhh, fucked up shit makes me shudder

  • HEY HEY! North Carolina foothills speaking, I certainly do NOT fuck my relatives, so shut up. They ONLY do that in RURAL West Virginia.

  • ok, take it easy though. they really do still do that shit nowadays?

  • I think so, but don't go spreading that around.

  • judas ali.

  • you're the fucking Judas!

  • LOL! you UK lads have some funny ass phrases. kiddy fiddler? I'm gonna use that one for the rest of my life. shags pakis for beer - the ultimate insult

  • UB40 without Ali - won't be the same

  • what a joke... ub40 aint about ali.. its all of them !

  • al was amazzzing at this song in glasgow secc 20yrs ltr love u guys.... merry chrimo............

  • OMG i love this song

  • whats the last song called?

  • Aw man the old stuff is always the sweetest for us true ubfans.

  • The band Slightly Stoopid does and ill cover of this track! Check it out. It updates the stylee righteously.

  • i agree

its a sweet cover, kyle's voice is perfect for it

  • this tune is coolbrings back a lot of 80,s memorys. is there two different songs on this?

  • Great song! This video is from a rare UB40 film called "Dance with The Devil" Robert Palmer also stars towards the end of the film. Shame it wasn't released!

  • Oh you were so mean...shes a great woman..probably UB40 wouldnt be around without her...it was her that spot UB40 in a bar in the early 80s...so more respect man!

  • Is that Chrissie Hynde in the video?

  • 2=)cuz this is my point,ub40 is a british from uk,they have better opportunity so they can do everything!!.singers should be creative and have talent to make own their song not taking songs from others ,changing and selling.for example if you were a poet, you would get other poets poems and changing rhyms, verses and sell the poem as your poem?you would do that?

  • @dancehallreggae All I know is that I have been listening to UB40 for 30 years and they are and will always be the Godfathers or Reggae. Legends in there own right.

  • i can only say about ub40,i have ever liked them but at the moment,it is loosing,as far as i see, they r not creative, they take old jamaican songs and convert them in new versions and singing as if the songs were theirs.

  • Well i really dont think like that..they only have 3 albums with cover songs...i mean they have more than 20 albums...they have some original great songs but whats is cool about UB40 is that they can make the cover songs on their own,on their style. This is what i like more about UB40, they can make the cover songs better than the originals..just listen the original ones...they just dont have any fun, they sound antique and old...with UB40 it is created a new magic, well this is what i think. =)

  • 1=)no man.because you firsly listen to ub40s cover version.thats why the cover songs seem better for you but if you had listened to the original songs before ub40 sang, you would like them more.

those jamaican singers from who ub40 gets the songs, they can not introduce their themselves in the world ,this is very big opportunity for ub40,so ub40 gets those singers hit songs and make a cover and sell them easily.

  • Well you cant say "no man"...this is your point and that was my point, everyone has his own opinion. I just replied to your comment as i noticed that you were saying that they werent creative...and thats not true.

I agree with you in the way that they have better opportuniy to have sucess, but are you thinking that those Jamacain singers would be successful with those antique sounds today, of course not, UB is more actual, is more commercial and thats whats matter in the music business.

  • hot track thanks for this ub40 rocks

  • Many thanks to "ubvideos" that gave me the pleasure to see the whole movie.
