It's actually thanks to an amazing new add-on board called VBXE which bumps the Atari 8-bit's graphics abilities into the realms of the Amiga. Unfortunately the wife thinks I have enough Atari 'junk' so probably won't let me order one :(
Nice monitor. I used to have a 1040ST with this monitor rebranded as Atari. I knew that it was a Phlips monitor. The monochrome SM124 monitor was manufactured by Samsung. Anyway, good old days. I miss the sharpness of a good CRT monitor. By the way, I don't really believe that this kind of graphics was possible with the 8-bit computers. It looks to me like an Atari ST is connected to this monitor, isn't it?
what is it? colours?4096?
onscreen 16 - 32 - 48 HAM?
blitter? processor?

I've always been a Commodore fan, but this shows the Atari machines at there best. I'll have to admit the graphics are far superior to the C64.
