hand2g, I believe that it is halal in this case. Istaghfirullah if I am wrong. Sami Yusuf isn't bad. Maybe he dosen't know or there is an exception. He wouldn't do somethng Haram. and what you said that the duff is only played on Eid or weddings, it can be played anytime.

the only king of Islam is Allah SWT, so really watch what you are saying because you are getting gunaah for saying that.

The king is Allah SWT, we are his faithful servants, thats it:), Sami Yusuf is a servant like us who preaches the word of Islam through nasheeds and naats, alhumdulillah, may allah SWT's blessings be with him :)
