I can understand that as far as Bonnet Creek goes, you like it, you want it, would use it, but, no matter what the price, you don't want to even consider buying it, but I wouldn't be too quick to blame the sales pitch for your logic. You can see what a timeshare salesperson is up against and has to try and overcome in 2 short hours, 2 to 3 times a day, 5-7 days a week. Unfortunately, you are not unique. Here IS a unique approach you might want to consider: more comments on my blog. "SellersView"
the presentation is horrible for anyone that goes with an attitude!! there is 3 reasons why people don't buy..First they don't vacation(and I will agree that you don't need a timeshare),Second they can't truly afford it(Is still the same money you will spend in a rental! in the long run)and third you don't understand how it works THIS IS THE PROBLEM! I have been to places I thought I could never afford! Like everything bad things and experiences spread like a virus but not the good ones!!!
Bonnet Creek is a beautiful resort; the sales employees, at the time, were not. I heard most of those employees were let go about 3 months after we were there, so hopefully that virus you speak of is gone. You bring up good points as to why people don't purchase time shares, however, I wouldn't limit the reasons to 3. (My parents are owners there - they were owners at the time of travel, even.)
The video was made in good humor and not meant to offend.
Found rentals so reasonable ..have stayed four times in the last 2 years..never paid more than $75/nightly..each time in a 2BR with waterfront view in Tower III.
As for the presentation business--forget that.
DON'T GO.
When picking upo parking pass at the counter--advise you are NOT with your spouse (even if so). That'll end the push to attend right there. Also--add that tyou want DNC (Do Not Call) listed next to your name..then, ENJOY.
It's a beautiful resort; it's just the presentation was torture and they treated us really badly. I have heard that the group of people that were giving the pitches when we went have all been let go and a new group has been brought in. Hopefully your experience will be better!
