Now in the early days of this railroad line it was owned by the PRR.the freight was mostly coal from the coal fields of the old Redstone branch line, and colonal mines #2 tipple in Grindstone Pa. That railroad is now just history. .
I lived on the now abanded rail line east side of Greensburg Pa. Where the grade was steeper, and they needed helpers to reach the PRR main line east of the Radeaugh Pa connection. On the other side of old double tunnels that are now history also.

GREAT shots! The railroad atlas I have says that they give trackage rights to NS, CSX and W&LE, do any of their locomotives ever run that line, or does the SWP do all of the work there?
The SWP interchanges with NS at Radebaugh (CP RADE) in Greensburg and with CSX in Connellsville (Broadford). Not sure exactly where they connect with the W&LE. They were installing a W&LE connection at the new intermodal facility in Mount Pleasant, but I don't know if they're actually using it yet.

i live next to these tracks where they end in greensburg. SWP uses them in greensburg 3 times a week. ive seen 2 NS engines on the tracks years ago.
