If you read into things a bit more, you might realize that the Richmond Oval hasn't turned down any International skaters. The US skaters happen to fit into that International category, however, they did not agree with the ice time that was given.
Make sure you know your information before making comments on things you don't quite know.
As for gold medals, wait for february.

Why are the Canadians denying the US Speed Skaters Ice Time at the Olympic facilities?
That seems pretty weak.
No wonder Canada didn't win any gold medals last time they hosted..or the time before that...
