Yes but ai producers were so worried with the judges giving Archuleta knock outs in finale and Archuleta getting great reaction from the audience, they manipulated to fix the results. Yes, it was unfair to both contestants.
Archie was okay with the outcome and he was grateful to be top 2, but as to Cook, I wouldn't feel good if I won the title with producers slanting to make sure I win. I would have wanted a real honest voting results. Cook would win with a lot closer margin to Archuleta.

Here's the thing -- David A's youtube view count on his final song is about 300,000; David C's view count on his final song is well over 1,000,000. Itunes numbers are consistent with this. David A may sing great, but David C touches more people inside & compels repeat listening...America chose its Idol. This doesn't take anything away from David A's talent. But America got it right!
um no. archie had another vid with nearly million views and youtubed pulled it. youtube also pulled cooks national anthem b/c they were scared of archie since he wiped the floor with cook. say what you want cook is just a performer. he doesn't touch no one. take away his music, guitar, fancy lights, screaming audience and you see what he's been doing all season -missing notes and just flat.

Archuletta's voice is pure, smooth, and toned, he has an amazing voice, and he controls it amazingly well. He is almost too smooth and perfect. Maybe he should have won in that right alone, but he chose a year in which someone else was more adventurous, with a greater and more passionate range in music. I really wished that there's some kind of a CD or DVD in which all of Archie's performances are recorded. If there ever was such a thing, I will definitely get one of those so I can listen to him everyday, especially when I am down. He does not have the slightest idea what his voice, persona, presence, and singing does to me and to lots of people. He's a gift from God with a gifted silky voice. I was really hoping for him to win. I was really shocked, surprised, and disappointed when he didn't get the "American Idol" title. But he's already an Idol for me. He has an amazing voice and talent. This kid will go far. <3
David Archuleta now has a recording contract with Jive Records, the same company associated with Justin Timberlake and many other stars! In the end, Archie is getting the better deal I think...and he will now be able to do what he loves to do -- make beautiful music.
If Archie had waited a couple of years, perhaps maturity could made the difference. From here, Archie could go the Christian music path. I bet he could sell tons and tons of albums, and keep going for years.
Over all, coming in first or second doesn't seem to matter that much in American Idol. Next, I think DA has the better voice but he looks too young and that bobbing thing is annoying. Much easier to listen than watch him. DC seems better prepared to be a professional singer, and I felt the charisma better--at least over the waves.
I think they let D. David Archuleta sang IMAGINE that received (3 MILLION views) and to STOP FROM CLIMBING UP, they REMOVED, made that video DISAPPEAR.
They wanted David Cook's Billie Jean to go up and not be deflated by David A.'s popularity.

Both Davids are talented. Cook got votes for collective performances of the past and Simon making the Cook fan mad. Archuleta has beautiful vocals and his Finale performance was stunning and he won that night.

OM-"GOSH" He blows me away! The phone lines were rigged for sure... I could only get 1 out of 5 calls to connect. I tried Cooks line and got in 5 times without once being "dropped." Dang! I gave DC 5 of MY DA votes. I wonder how many of us had this same problem??? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! AI is RIGGEDDDDD. They play it the way they want it to go! Dang IT! It will turn around to bite AI... cause alot of us are DONE with AI for sure!

Here's the thing -- David A's youtube view count on his final song is about 300,000; David C's view count on his final song is well over 1,000,000. Itunes numbers are consistent with this. David A may sing great, but David C touches more people inside & compels repeat listening...America chose its Idol. This doesn't take anything away from David A's talent. But America got it right!

um no. archie had another vid with nearly million views and youtubed pulled it. youtube also pulled cooks national anthem b/c they were scared of archie since he wiped the floor with cook. say what you want cook is just a performer. he doesn't touch no one. take away his music, guitar, fancy lights, screaming audience and you see what he's been doing all season -missing notes and just flat.

It doesnt matter what anyone says, or what the results were, Archuleta out performed DC the entire way and captured the hearts of thousands of Americans.....singers like Cook will come and go, (dont get me wrong he is a very talented singer and performed well) but singers like Archie are once in a life time, to be so good and yet to have so much more potential...he could become one of the greatest singers of our generation...and the only word i can use to describe this performance is amazing..

Cook referred the "stuffing" of the ballot box on Larry King. He knows he was voted in by the internet download voters. I would conservatively estimate 4,000- 6,000 votes per person with 2 download applications. Hardly the stuff of dreams as far as a "victory" goes. It rings rather hollow. Archuletta's voice is pure, smooth, and toned, he has an amazing voice, and he controls it amazingly well. He is almost too smooth and perfect. Maybe he should have won in that right alone, but he chose a year in which someone else was more adventurous, with a greater and more passionate range in music. Either way they will both have amazing careers. Congrats to both of them!

I really wished that there's some kind of a CD or DVD in which all of Archie's performances are recorded. If there ever was such a thing, I will definitely get one of those so I can listen to him everyday, especially when I am down. He does not have the slightest idea what his voice, persona, presence, and singing does to me and to lots of people. He's a gift from God with a gifted silky voice. I cant wait for his CD, and his Xmas album to come out. He should've won! America got it wrong, again!

David Archuleta now has a recording contract with Jive Records, the same company associated with Justin Timberlake and many other stars! In the end, Archie is getting the better deal I think...and he will now be able to do what he loves to do -- make beautiful music.

Over all, coming in first or second doesn't seem to matter that much in American Idol. Next, I think DA has the better voice but he looks too young and that bobbing thing is annoying. Much easier to listen than watch him. DC seems better prepared to be a professional singer, and I felt the charisma better--at least over the waves.
