thx for this vid. i start to search some information about Dan's origin and i have learned that he has got Swedish roots... that's the faces of America, too.
Indeed! In the song Forefathers, he tell us he father's family was Scandinavian ... from the land of the midnight sun...and his mother was of Scottish blood...I'd say that was a wonderful combination that created an angel who walked among us. You should listen to "Forefathers" if you haven't already. Beggarsgame has a wonderful video she made with it. You will love it! :-) Hugs to you friend!
Thank you! Posting the lyrics to this wonderful video sung by Dan's beautiful, unique voice I think for the 1st time I fully understood what he was speaking of~it brought tears to my eyes. Dan indeed spoke of All Things to us thru his music. What a wonderful man with a wonderful spirit he possessed within him while with us, now at total peace, but, oh, so missed. Yet with creations such as this & the gift of his music he left us he will live on in my / our hearts forever. Yet again Let It Shine!
thank you so much for the kind words. I tried to honor Dan and what I believe his message to be and thought more than ever this song needs to be heard.
Great job on a great song - I was going to do this song next myself, now I don't think I can make a video any better than this one ;) (maybe I will try it anyway) for Dan, more is never enough - I'll see.
I'll could easily find another song, there sure are enough!
Thank you so much for being a part of keeping Dan's legacy in the Ever On. Wonderful video work! Dan's songs were so full of life's ups and downs and he was like no other in pegging it so superbly. Miss him greatly! With the uncertain economic times ahead of us all, this song captures what we are all feeling!
Thank you so much. He was such a wise, loving soul. I feel honored to be a DanFan and I just want to make sure no one ever forgets his wisdom or the beauty of his soul.
As long as he has devoted fans, Dan's music and legacy will live on..There are so many wonderful comments, from so many..Dan gave us gifts and it is up to us to cherish them and never forget!!
I always loved this song, but the images you matched with it brought tears to my eyes. My grandparents were young adults through the 1930's and many of your pictures brought back the memories of the stories they told me. I pray we're not heading there ourselves today.
Thank you. I've always loved this song too. It says so much. But Dan managed to do that with literally ALL his songs. My Grandparents got married in 1930. They raised me and I grew up hearing stories about the hardships, but also how the families stuck together and weathered the storm. That's the key, sticking together. Thank you again!
Great video :)

I have known information about Dan's roots from mentioned Beggarsgame's vid and I have checked Fogelberg's biography.
I like your and her vids because I have learned something about former America.

OK Julie -
I wasn't going to put this song to a video because you've done such a great job with this one
BUT.............
The way things are today (March 18, 2009) - this song is just BEGGING for another video to be made; I've got to go for it! '-)

So very true. Sticking together to weather the storm is the key. I hope today's generations can learn that lesson.
