Thanks for posting. I am fond of this movie. Saw it the year it came out and it made a huge impression on me with a tantalising glimpse of swinging London not yet accessible to a teen in Crewe! Directed by Michael Winner who now does awful insurance commercials. In good company with Iggy Pop.
It's right there with The Knack, The Italian Job and Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush, not forgetting A Hard Day's Night, capturing optimism and the excitement of UK youth culture in the 1960s.
Thank you SO MUCH for putting this up!! I've never been able to find this movie . . . probably because it isn't available on DVD . . . and I've ALWAYS wanted to see it!! THANK YOU!!
No problem. I've got several of Michael Crawford's other "rare" films (Two Left Feet and Hello - Goodbye) which I may upload once I finish with The Jokers. I hope you enjoy the rest of the movie =)
My dad worked on this film as a technician (as well as The Games) and told me there was a problem with the crew's wages - they were never paid properly although the cast was. Anyway, nice to see it on YT. But can you PLEASE post THE GAMES - a really rare film which is NEVER shown on tv now, and Crawford and Michael Winner's best film. Thanks, Paul, London.
Oh my gosh! I haven't seen this movie since it was last shown on TCM back in 1997. This is a real treat to see again - its one of Michael Crawford's best films.
Micheal Winner's own Kensington apartment used as location

I confess that i had not watched this movie before. I know the director's work with Ch. Bronson.
I have to say that Michael Winner as a director , has shown me something:
There's a variety from this to Death Wish, to the Mechanic...
I must also mention that this movie is definitely more organized than later stuff, though i am a fan of Death Wish, obviously.
anyway, to the subject. The Jokers is just awesome! very cool, Reed redefines bad ass.

I've got this on video. It pops up on tv now and then. Watch out for it. I can't get hold of The Optimists of Nine Elms with Peter Sellers.
