@BUDAGREEN1 20 minutes is too long to start out with. My first time I went for 10 minutes, and I got way burned. You should have started out with 6 or 7, and then gradually increased your time.

@javi7148 i work in a tanning salon, if you dont tan in the sun then you most likely will NOT tan in a bed either.

if you burn, do a low pressure bed @ half the time. move up gradually.

@detnyxo I know this is late but I figured I'd respond in case someone else was wondering this now. It is actually not a good idea to wear your contacts because the bed really dries out your eyes. If you were to bring eye drops with you then you could try but it's best not to.

Yeah, you turn on the tanning bed by yourself, but it turns itself off automatically when your time is done. You can wear contacts when your tanning also, as long as you use your glasses that are provided, or those like Wink-Ease eye protecting stickers. You can wear makeup, but try not to wear to much because it sort of melts off your skin if you sweat, just like in the summertime.

turning it on depends on the place you-just ask them, when I go it gives me like 8 min to get ready then automatically turns off, you shouldnt wear your contacts, and take off your makeup so that your tan will be completely even

it's totally normal to be nervous. i was too. haha. I had a friend go with me, and she tanned for her first time too. So it was better.
