  • I don't need drugs. I got Strawberry Alarm Clock.

  • nice party :O

  • The 60's looked like fun. Yeah baby, yeah...

  • I like how enthused people are at the end.

  • Great stuff ! For anyone who remembers the 60's, or anyone who doesn't remember anything !!

  • a groovy film, great stuff

  • Io vorrei saperne di più su questo gruppo, mi piace molto!

  • If you love SAC the lead singer Randy Seol is singing this same some with a new band called Miraden on YT. Check it out!

  • yea even though this pop the melodies n chords n harmonies were very complex n influenced by mult'pul stylez

  • @BuyBenco

    sure did!

  • don't get FrEaKeD out by this,,,just feel the moment :0)

  • Drug music, drug video. Exciting at the time but ultimately quite dangerous.

  • Ed King!!!!!

  • I;ve been saving my Nehru jacket for 50 years hoping the style comes back.

  • The guitarist in this band is Ed King, he quit this terrible band became part of the awesome band Lynrd Skynrd

  • Wow! A real 60's freak out!

  • There was good music back then but don't feel bad because you think you missed something. To get up to the Sunset Strip and go to the clubs you needed to have money and if you were working at McDonalds part time and going to school it was very frustrating and having ance did not help much. By the time I had a chance to see music up in L.A. Glitter Glam David Bowie at Rodney's Club was the big thing which was fun.

  • In all seriousness.. Why can't today's pop music put out gem's like this! This is REAL pop music!!! My Generation sucks. I wish i could go back in the 60's!

  • Our generation kicks ass. If you don't like it change it or just shut the fuck up about it.

  • @djbooda there was never a time when good music was always there. only the gems survived amongst wave after wave of shit which is why we get you kids saying "I WISH I COULD GO 2 DA 6ITIES"

  • @djbooda check out of montreal and/or olivia tremor control to touch some of this stuff via more recent music if you haven't listened to them already

  • @djbooda Well if you do make it back to the 60's, bring back Autin Powers' mojo.

  • @djbooda I completely know what you mean. The 60's were WAY ahead musically and artistically than this era now.

  • @djbooda similar nostalgic fuck comments. wish wish wish. boring.

  • Search Randy Seol. Check out the video from Malibu.

  • For those of you who thought this sucked, and yeah, it's dated, let me give you a bit of a rundown. First off, if you have ever seen SAC live, you realize how badly the recordings were. They are great players. As for the band, Ed went on to play for Lenard Skynard and wrote and played what is one of the most recognizable licks ever. He wrote the music for Sweet Home Alabama. The flute player who you can't see is Steve Bartek who went on to play lead guitar for Oingo Boingo. I could go on...

  • @EvilSkeptic I didn't mention that Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins chose Mark Weitz to tour with him a couple of years ago. A fan of psychedelic music, and the SAC, and a guy who knows a good musician when he hears one. Billy Cargan had SAC do a cover of Mr. Farmer by the Seeds, as part of a project that he is doing. It's an amazing recording.

  • @EvilSkeptic do you know the name of this project?

  • Not only does Ed's guitar change, but Randy is gone (he has some kind of appointment) in the final shot and George, who was playing the flute is now sitting where Randy was sitting, playing bongos and singing lead. All the changes happen at about 1:46. I think Ed changed guitars as a joke. And that's the movies for you!

  • @EvilSkeptic Another thing. At 1:46, the keyboard changes from a Vox Continental to a Farfisa Compact Combo, which was what they used to record their debut. But you can see the chrome Vox legs in the beginning, then you see the red fold down apron for the Farfisa.

  • @TheHippie206

    Good catch!

  • My god this is terrible, this horrible turd of a song makes my ears bleed, people who consider this to be good music have a terrible taste in music. I could make better sounding music by taking a shit.

  • How do we get back there? Does anyone know the way?

  • Fuckin Hippies

    fantastic

  • oh or it's psych-out?

  • is it in this movie, a scene with a couple on lsd fucking in a pool verrrrrrry sloooooooowly?

  • A mirrored stage. I'm speechless.

  • i love the sixties!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mom! Is that you?

  • Born in the wrong era.....damn. :(

  • Fucking far out! No subtleties in the title of this song.... MUshroOM DReaM!

  • excellent video, very high quality picture.

SAC was and is, a very good and important group. A form of psychedelic rock, more on the pop side, yet more psychedelic than The Lemon Pipers. Such a vital element to explore, for serious musicians or historians. Amazing that Ed would go on to work with Skynyrd, although he grew up in LA,, not FL.

  • i wish shows/bands/audiences/drug scenes were still like this

  • @wherestheunity yip too true but the 60's is long gone and will never be repeated UNFORTUNATELY , so just give me a time machine and I would go back forever and ever and ever

  • @staypress Its not all gone. My parents were there but totally missed the point - they like Cliff Richard and Frank Sinatra. I however took what I could from the 60s and applied it to the rave scene in the 90s. Now I am growing up and my son is becoming an explorer in the fields of dreams. Teach your kids that THIS is what we fight for, against corporations and governments. Teach them that freedom IS a state of mind, and not to let anyone take it away.

  • 0:23 FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • groovy psychedelica

  • body paint is the shit :)

  • Pretty good quality video.

Some of those girls had dresses just barely covering their asses. Wow.

  • I love the way the video starts with Ed playing a Vox and it ends with him playing a Telecaster...LOL

  • Triping balls of ths song man!!! Evreything was better in the sxties the musc the fasion the drugs were safe!

  • @mrheadbanger71 And, man, let's not forget all the free love!

But, of course, you are right. God, I would give almost anythig to have been there, then...

  • @mrheadbanger71 and the sex.

Although i dont know firsthand, im 16, i wish i lived through the sixties.

  • @mrheadbanger71 fully safe hey, good typing. in the future, to be safe, don't trip with a keyboard nearby. quit living in the past you nostalgic fuck. as if now isnt the greatest tiime to be alive, jump on the gravy train squa

  • @sol0lun You wouldn't know about that, being that you are an internet punk. what are you, 19?? (No offence to other 19 yr olds)

  • bigfootisreal100 You really mean you'll ask George Bunnell? You live in Australia, are you joking?

  • @ahniditab Why not? Email, facebook, phone or any other modern way of communication. :-)

  • I think I got a contact high just from watching this video. Groovy!

  • Identifying a few members is a bit confusing. Who is playing the flute? Who is playing the bass, Gunnels? In wikipedia it says that Lovetro, later Bunnel, played the bass? Is it Freeman on drums instead of rythm guitar? Is Lovetro or Bunnel there?

  • @ahniditab I think it might have been George Bunnell on flute, Lee Freeman on Drums, and Gary Lovetro on Bass, i can't really remember, i'll have to ask George Bunnell

  • @bigfootisreal100 - It's Steve Bartek (later, the guitarist for Oingo Boingo) who played the flute for SAC. JSYK :-)

  • I know that Steve Bartek (later the guitarist for Oingo Boingo) played the flute for SAC on the first two albums. However, that doesn't look like him in this clip.

  • God spoke to me,

That Ed king should be with skynyrd now,

also that dude banging on his guitar.

would have gotten his head banged for banging

    on Eds guitars today

Ed king the finest guitar player

    to ever play..

  • I was there dancing!

  • @hotredjag ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

  • UM SALVE A PSICODELIA !

  • Damn this song is beautiful. I wish it were like the 60s where we can all make peace, love, and get high <3

  • 1:09 THAT GIRL IS SO HIGH.

    man, I wanna be there.

  • i just seen hippy land

  • guy on the telecaster is Ed King who went on to work with Lynyrd Skynyrd

  • @CatapultYourMom ....my fav instrument....i Must be gay...zone girl

  • 1:45 drug opposers. ;)

  • I'll bet most of you were so high by the end of the song that you did not notice that the guitarist's groovy Vox Cheetah guitar morphs into a Fender Telecaster..!

  • @kurskss Standard practice for certain songs, plus this obviously is mimed, and was filmed for the movie, so they might have done it in more than one take.

  • @kurskss hold on how does that even happen?

  • Anyone know the chords to this song? Can't seem to find them anywhere (their chords are also very tough to pick out by ear due to the complexity of the key!)

  • Anybody who hasn't seen the movie Return To The Valley Of The Dolls should defanatly see it these guys kick ass at the end of the movie!!!!

  • Great clip! thanks

  • I sure like SAC, wish I could find their debut album on CD, or download, have looked for two years.. It is not the compliation, which people think is the debut, because it has the same title and artwork. Can't even download it from Amazon.

  • I know the names of the band members but I can't point them out on screen ....any help app.

  • @bruces3 Flute-Steve Bartek, Bass-George Bunnel, Bongos-Randy Seoul, Guitar-Ed King, Organ-Mark Weitz, Drums-Lee Freeman.

  • @RulerOfRock666 .... equal ... GARBAGE!

  • just an awesome wonderful band.......very special.....one of a kind and cannot be duplicated....

  • ed king from lynyrd skynyrd played for Strawberry Alarm Clock. Nice!

  • I see where James Cameron got the idea for Avatar @ 1:18

  • theres no going back 5 min ago, nevermind 43 yrs ago, but if there was a time machine available I would put it to full use...so many stops I would make.

  • @bruces3 If you go to the 60's first , you'll never make another stop. Even Dr. Who would stay there.

  • Wow, I never heard that song until just then. It's a good one.

  • very cool

  • Ed King rocks!! Play some Skynyrd!!!!!

  • dude everyone is compleatly fried lol

  • @jalicerules101 I can't stop laughing at your comment. I was thinking the same thing.

  • My parents looked like these people.

  • My parents looked like these people in the 60's.

  • mushroom dreams

  • Lol LSD party, I only found out about this band a few days ago

  • strawberry alarm clock unfortunately is not a very good group. only song that was decent was "incense and peppermints" .... the rest of the songs are kind of "mumbo jumbo".

  • bands need to bring back those outfits. That shit looks comfortable as hell

  • this video is made 100% on drugs :))))) amazing times.

  • Just think; Everyone in this video is about 70 years old now.

  • @JamesTKirkCobain .... think you may be making members a bit too old ..... average might be early to mid 60's .... of course ... that's a guess .... but a good one ... check it out!

  • Oh sh*t, that chick at the begining is doing the standard cliched trip out dance LMAO

  • It's really a shame how some really good bands were done in by one or two commercial songs played on AM radio during those days. The stigma in the success of bands right before FM radio began to rule the airwaves changed everything. Don't get me wrong. God bless FM. It sure fed my head when my brain was starving for ear candy. Great days.

  • mmmmmm Mushhhhhrooooooomsssssss

  • do they have anymore songs like incense and peppermints

  • this is what i like.....

  • mushroom dreeeams

  • No mention of the incredible Steve Bartek rocking on the flute on this one. SB is probably the most underrated guitarist in rock history. I am a lifetime musician and was never a big fan of Oingo Boingo until I saw them live. Steve Bartek is up there with Vai and Satriani in terms of virtuoso (if you scoff, just look at some of their live videos first), and incredible musician that can play, score and compose. And as a kid, could play flute on songs like this. He is also incredibly nice guy :-)

  • Sexy legs at 1:00

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • wow lots of hot girls were here...

  • IT`S THE SIXTIES.JUST FLOW WITH IT!

  • What is a Rainy Day Mushmoom Pillow ?

Surely it's not something you can buy in the bedding section at Walmart.

  • RIP Lee Freeman

  • Comment removed

  • Lee Freeman died at 2:30 A.M on valentines day. He and his music will surely be missed. He was a great guitarist, singer, drummer and harmonica player!

  • Thanx RulerOfRock666 for this sad info, R.I.P. Lee Freeman

  • It is very sad. He was the life of the band. Kind of the quirky one. He stuck with the band all the way till their breakup. It is nice to know that he died peacefully asleep after a long battle with cancer. R.I.P. Lee Freeman XD

  • @RulerOfRock666 which of the gyz in this video is lee freeman? the flute player?

  • @rockman399 Lee Freeman is the drummer in the video. Steve Bartek is the flute player. Lee was originally the guitarist but played drums in some songs.

  • @RulerOfRock666 RIP Lee Freeman.

  • Chocolate watchband rip offs.

  • fucking lol

  • The year I got drafted to the war.... yeah one of those other wars...

  • This is the BEST!!! However, I have never figured out the bulk of late 60s dancing to this type of music. The people are often dancing at a tempo that is off with the music . Maybe a different beat is going on in their LSD flooded minds? hmmmm..........

  • I wish I was one of the pranksters who wrote the Electric Kool-aid acid trip XD

  • @eihwazone We are going to the 60's- every time we watch one of these old hippie videos. Pretty cool, huh?

  • @london2z .way cool...would love to go there right now an escape this world...zgirl

  • I'm with you........bear with me whilst I put the finishing touches to my time machine!

  • @derby1884 ...k derby...im sure we'll all wait but im an aquarian....we reside in another dimension so we may not need it.....just bring your imagination.....XD

  • @eihwazone

ur right i feel like i was born the wrong time :(

  • Comment removed

  • @101abob .....dont be sad....if derby's time machine doesnt work, we'll use our imagination an make our own 60's.....no worries....XD - zone girl

  • @eihwazone - I'm with u , man !!!

  • @eihwazone I can play drums and love the west coast sound of 67 ,...lets form a band man !!!!!!!

  • @lovelyflares: I'm here in So Cal if you need a tenor vocalist who can do harmony as well. I'm 33 though, about to be 34. As the saying went in the '60s, you're not supposed to trust anyone over 30! LOL.

  • @eihwazone Me!

  • @eihwazone me please
