Thank you, Scott. This is very helpful. I have a similar setup and created this on-site housing market with my iphone with kv connection cable and lav mic. youtube.com/watch?v=r1eGeGDuRCo and uploaded it onsite to youtube.
@MyTitleGuy I bought the Xshot along with the iPhone 4 case. If I remember correctly, it comes with the case because it's the case that allows you to connect your iPhone to a tripod. I have another video on my channel specifically speaking to the Xshot. I really like the case too. The curved part for the adapter really helps you hold the phone better. Being able to attach your iPhone to the Xshot or another tripod is a huge plus too.
That is awesome Scott. I was wondering if all of those attachments work with an android phone. I have sprint & just got a photon 4g. Thanks again for the great tips.
@KathiHeern Yes, kVConnection has cables for Android phones too. I can't speak to the specific manufacturers though. I can't put links into YouTube replies but if you do a search for kVConnection, you can find them on the net. The cables typically run around $24 USD.
AWESOME Scott! Does it work with the iPhone 3G? I'm debating an upgrade soon but figure, give Apple a little time to get the bugs out. I'm going to your site now to check out all of the product links. Thanks!
@greenlightcoach It might be a different cable but I think they have one for it. If you can swing it, I'd definitely recommend an upgrade. The processor and camera alone will justify the purchase over the older 3G model. I have my 4S ordered and will post a comparison with the original iPhone 4 late next week. As for bugs, I doubt you'll find too many.
@jameswedmore Dude, you've GOT to get the cable. I think the new 4S, with it's 1080p video, higher contrast, and stabilization, is going to be the way to go for portable video. Don't get me wrong, I'll still shoot with my T3i and Sanyo Xacti, but I'm finding more and more, the iPhone is flat out good enough. And with a wireless mic capabilities, it's awesome.
Scott I am so impressed with your technical knowledge and expertize but even more with your wonderful supportive nature. Thank you ever so much. As a complete learner your excellent video was important for me. Amnuai
Hi - Dr Karen from VTA /facebook. This was a nice way to show us the difference. The only thing I worry about w/iPhone is the "shake" factor. But that's just me! Great video! Congrats!

Scott, thank you for putting this together so quickly and easily! That is exactly what I was looking for through VTA and the facebook group. Can you reply to this comment with the names and possibly links for those additional items you referenced in the video?
@ProsYouCanTrust I'm glad it was helpful. Here are the products I mention in the video. I won't put affiliate links in here; just the names so you can find 'em easily in Amazon.

Holler if you guys have question. I'm more than happy to help out.

@drkaren1106 The shake on the XShot is definitely a factor. It takes some practice. Otherwise, if you use a tripod, it's rock solid.
