The only problem with that was sun saw the statues foot in season 2 and the electromagnetic blast happened latter the season and if you go to season six where you see richard alperts back story you woud see that the black rock destroyed it.

@Dusome1000 Well it was like i think the last maybe ten episodes one of those episodes was Richard alperts' backstory where he was a slave on the black rock and tidal waves crashed the ship into the statue resulting in the black rock landing in the jungle and richard being the sole survivor. Hope that clarifies things for you.
