@padjo909 This isnt just a cover they made this song there own. i would say this to be a better song but i like Jack White and you like this Japes guy and i would care to know who Japes is if it wasn't for Jack having respect for his music. there two different songs dude
@ElPr0n Well the A minor pentatonic is a common blues scale,ok he's not going up and down scales like via does but he does know about the circle of 5ths as indicated by his piano playing and even other guitar solo's see "mister your a better man than i"so i stress the point that his solo's are NOT the same, some are simple some are very complex and every time he makes that thing sceam.
They should tell the audience that this is a Jape track.. most artists do when they do a live cover. They've wrongly convinced hundreds of thousands of people that this is their track. Jape deserves the recognition. Everyone loves the track and thinks it's theirs.
Sinead, 17.. From Ireland. I'm 20 and from Ireland.. We might, I don't think the world does. They heard this track in Dublin and have covered it since without mentioning Jape.
I wish everybody in Ireland did, then Richie Egan (Jape) would get the recognition he deserves. Japes record label re-released this on his new EP 'Jape is Grape' after this, it was originally on the album 'The Monkeys in The Zoo Have More Fun Than Me'. I've uploaded the video, if that's the recorded version you're asking about. As far as I know the Raconteurs never recorded it.
I really don't think it matters. Anyone who obviously liked it enough would try to look for it latter and see that Jape was the actual original artist. I personally love both versions.

Uhh they covered Bang Bang by Nancy Sinatra and covered Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Unless you consider those artist not popular at all. This was from there first tour anyways, when they had only made like 10 songs at that point, so they really had to cover songs. Just because you are a big Jape fan doesn't mean you have to be a complete moron about it.

does anyone know which guitar jack white is using in this song?
rebellferhan 2 years ago
I think its his Gretsch Copper Triple Jet, it has a solid copper body. It's custom built.
LuckyDutch9 2 years ago
It is a guitar that was custom made for Jack White by Randy Parsons of Parsons Guitar Shop.
