  • @asjdfl Indeed. Perfection from beginning to end.

  • i have loved this song and album for years and i'm still having trouble wrapping my head around how fucking perfect it is.

  • @asjdfl So do I,it never ceases to astound me.So, for that reason I've woken up with JLP in some form or other since '82.

  • WildWeed!!!!

  • I did see em.partied with JLP and Pat Morrison twice in WASH DC 84 or 83 Ross

  • Yes, I would give you my love

so my soul would not starve

  • A great hi from Portugal...and ... What a great band. I have this Cd But qith another cover... My Precious CD...I´ve done a trade to get it. I toked this one and gave one from Talking Heads... I think it was a great deal.

  • @Loidlover Good deal !

  • yep you sure missed a great live band boy! gun club at the lyceum summer of 83 was a great night out!

  • forget Jack White and his psychobabby, forget the pixies, forget Kurt Cobain....

  • It's a shame so few people know this band. They were great.

  • wen i was about 14, i read a magazine which had both an interview with kurt cobain and a more recent one with jack white. both listed the pixies and gun club as there influences. thank god for those articles.. who knows how long it wouldve taken me to find em.

  • @TheHappydead i read the article on white stripes on wikipedia, and jack white puts gun club as influence too, that's how i found em <3

  • I listen to this, Brother and Sister, Secret Fires, Sex Beat and Mother Of Earth at least once a day. Probably my favorite band.. Seeing them live would have been the thing ever!

  • Im thinking about giving this album to my father for christmas, hes into blues, but i don't know about the gun club, what do you guys think?

  • do it.

  • i LOVE gun club!

they must have never given the praise they deserve, because i've never met anyone my own age thats even heard of them :O

  • Ya. It's pretty much a garuntee that if you're like "You know of Gun Club" people will not know what the fuck you're talking about. hah. But the few and far that do. Know one of the best bands ever.

  • They´re not for everyone - but the´re in the book and not forgotten!

  • @AlbiTheRacistDragon6

you probably have, you just didn't ask, you pretentious faggot

  • @Yorboxl Dear Yorboxl,

I don't like you very much, go die.

    Yours sincerely, A.PretentiousFaggot.

  • @AlbiTheRacistDragon6 if you're a racist then you have no business liking this band - the two pivotal members , Jeffrey Lee Pierce and Kid Congo Powers were mixed race - half white/half Mexican .

  • @riverrocks Good thing I'm not a racist then..."AlbiTheRacistDragon" is the name of a comedic song.

  • @AlbiTheRacistDragon6 well i apologize to you then. I had no idea that was the origin of your screen name since i've never heard of that song. Anyway, again, I'm sorry i implied you were racist.

  • @riverrocks also pierce was bisexual and kid is gay

  • @AlbiTheRacistDragon6 come to holland! all my friends love the gun club! also cool user name! love the flight of the concords!

  • I had this on a blistering little 7" single way back... and I lost it somewhere along my highway... I haven't heard this in about twenty years. Thanks.

  • This song--originally a 45 I may still have--resurfaces in my mind even if I have not heard it in years...ghostly processes of recordings & memory

  • You are simply a liar

An animal who bluffs and steals

    Until you become

    A bigger creature's meal,

  • Yes, exactly! The best lyrics from a song of true lyrical brilliance. Though I also like

    You're like straw and meaningless
