  • The first flashmob?

  • Great Track. Great Album. Simple As.

  • 25,000 of money for a video with 93,087 views, you tell me...

  • What a great idea though - still probably one of the cheapest vids, get the public to be your unpaid cast :)

    Fab track and vid !

  • i dont understand them but i like the accent tho

  • amazing stuff.

  • Never has a man been so frivolous with a fiver other than Gareth Cooke of MoS fame...

  • Reminds me of the Sleep Now In The Fire video. I wish I was there too then at least I had some money to eat -__-

  • God I miss these,fantastic band!

  • "come back to me we want your money...."!class!i heard somewhere that draper was gonna be gettin back to where he belongs!one of the best bands ever!was listening to lantern the other night..had completely forgot about it!awesome!draper if yer out there weve not forgot you up here in bonny scotland pal!!

  • I remember this too! The BR guard squealing "Someone could have been killed blah blah" but it did'nt stop him picking up a handful! Great band, great vid!

  • i remember that, was awesome, wish i was at liverpool street that day! lol

  • illuminati killed good music...

  • do you even know what the fuck you're talking about?

  • best. video. EVER.

  • best video e.v.a.

  • ha ha 5 for u 5 for me,,,,,,

  • Wouldn't happen today!

  • Yes the banks don't have 25K in cash these days :-)

  • yeah... and some jobsworth at the station would stop you from filming 'for security reasons'... lol

  • Decent song, great video concept.

  • nice!

  • I miss Mansun. We need them back.

  • The people throwing the money would've done exactly the same thing as the people scavenging for it. Just look at their eyes light up when they're holding all that money in their hands and you can tell they're not above it, as the video would like you to beleive.

  • I don't think anyone involved in the video would say they are above greed commercialism capitalism sensationalism.

  • i love the song and the idea

  • I do love the track,a lot.

but. the video is in a league of its own.

wonder if Dom Jolly was taking notes,

Thanks for posting, good to see the singer giving his approval,

id always thought the band weren't keen on it.

  • my favorite video

  • A label would never give a band like Mansun 25,000 for a video today lol the industry is too meessed up

  • Mind You , these Days We'd be staring at the Guy & thinking bubble coat ? 12 Years ago My friend.

  • they would be jailed under the terrorism act now. good song and band. never needed a stunt like this.cool though

  • Up there with weekender as a great, great video...

  • Tmobile well stole the idea

  • nice soundtrack-

  • Yep! that's gooood!

  • Thats my dad at the beginning letting them in Barclays. i swear. He didnt have a clue what was going on!!

  • yeah, mine too

  • MINE TOO!

  • Tune.

  • you lot are so twisted! WE lot didn't get a penny..............just had a laugh..............God bless who did! Gawd knows who did! Was left penniless!

  • mansun were always doing things in spite of themselves, in spite of the society, in spite of all trends. it's twisted, it's satirical, and i love them to death.

  • And it's why there Dead.

  • true. and its unfortunate that people didn't have enough taste to appreciate it.

  • I was never the hugest fan of Mansun, but I must admit I find this video exhilarating. I often kid myself that my dignity would never have allowed me to scratch around on the floor for free money if I'd been there that day, even though I was flat broke at the time, but I sometimes wonder whether or not I would have had my snout stuck in the trough with the rest of the drones.

  • one of my favourite videos...dont know if im getting old or just there just doesnt seem to be any clever stuff like that done now.

  • There's no coolness left.

  • They should've kept that money cause now they're broke hehe. Nah I like the concept. More famous people should throw away money. Won't help sharing a bit of your wealth you know.

  • haha i loved the end :]

  • maybe that guy read the comment

  • Love this song! Never fails to make me smile. Miss Mansun :(

  • That was Tax loss terror, that came straight from the wall !!!!!!!!!!!

  • The guy who picked the test drop fiver looked like he was Mr Bean!

  • I want one of them fivers..I wonder how many are still knocking about?

  • I would have liked one of them aswell, With the tax loss sticker , I would have had it on My wall then, I'm a bit too old now : ) fucking ace thing though.

  • Chaisex...Shut the FUCK up!You don't know what you're on about.

  • No No, You tell Uall what Your on about ? apart from telling People to shut up?

  • listen...no word of a lie...this is not my comment????i don't who Chaisex is,and don't know why that comment is under my name?????....no need to apologise tho!

  • I KNOW, A BIT OF A DHOUSCH BAG.

  • Hooray for Mansun!

By the way, a few people writing on this page should listen to the lyrics of the song in order to see the irony of the stunt. Giving away money in Liverpool St Station? Genius.

  • That wasn't too harsh a response considering we see this from such different viewpoints, so thank you for that. I understand your point absolutely, but I feel that there's a bottom line, which is that something which is done to make a point, even if it is an important one, is only viable if there aren't losers resulting from it. It seems like a bit of a piss take. Perhaps they got so caught up in the idea of this enormous statement that they didn't see the arrogance and the carelessness of it.

  • That last one was meant to be a response to pyenapple! God I hate technology.

  • Mate this was 1997

  • this was well before any of those bands.

  • Mansun came out before any of them you should be more annoyed that they have ripped of mansun!

  • that guy at the end is a real twat, going on about trespassing, they were giving away free money!!!!!!!!!!!!! some people moan about everything

  • This has got to be the best music video ever. Genius.

  • found a job worse than mine, putting stickers on £25.000 worth of fivers! great band and amazing album thats still fresh to listen to even today. great end as well 'there were no complaints'

  • Great band, great video and a fantastic video. Thanks for putting it on!

  • Genius!

  • now that's what i call "redistribution of wealth"...LOL

  • Brilliant video, brilliant band. A real shame they're not still going.

  • Fucking crazy band...

    MANSUN RULEZZZ!!!!

  • People often arse lick ' This is the best thing ever ever, so on. I Honestly can say I find this Music Video, the best Iv'e seen since a while ago ,2nd Devils Haircut , fuck knows why?

  • 'Passengers could have been injured but they later admitted the didn't have a single complaint.'

    LOL

Watch them people going for that cash. The funny thing is I would have gone for that cash just like they did :P

  • class tune

  • Fucking amazing band. Geniuses. There's nothing like them nowadays.

  • This band is incredible - the song sounds like a Revolver era Lennon and the Beatles.

Mansun, please reform and come to Nottingham (by train).

  • can you do this at chester station next tuesday ?

  • Classic MTV2. I know this type of stunt has been done before, but by god we need to tell people theres more to life than just aquiring yet even more money.

  • Brilliant band. Period. Love this song!

  • I was 'in' that video. One of the people scrabbling around on the floor for free money obv, I made several hundred pounds out of that :) Today is the first time I have ever seen the video - happy memories

  • lol

  • haha :D

  • Mansun were fucking amazing.

  • OMG this was great! Great band with great ideas and a great sound. Rarely seen nowadays. Love from Spain

  • Cracking band! Wish I was at the station! Very funny

  • pyenapple's right. The KLF not only did it first, bigger and better, they weren't selling a single off the back of it, it really was some kind of crazy artistic expression thing.

  • Taken from The KLF's "The KLF Burn A Million Quid"? Still a great idea, in a new context. Kinda. But still, The KLF did it better: THEY BURNED A MILLION QUID. Not 25,000. A MILLION. And they didn't give it away. They burned it. Now that's art.

  • i didn't know that... thanks for the info.

  • @cntrft I was being snarky when I posted that originally. I like Mansun and it's a good video idea.

  • No that's fucked up. People are dying in the world. Try and think before you speak.

  • If that's truly your only response to their art, then you don't understand the nature of their statement. "People are dying in the world" is the knee-jerk reaction. Every caring person will think that immediately upon hearing about the burning of the money. Now get past that initial emotional response and think about the true implications of the act and what they were saying about the world and the values we hold.

  • I wasn't planning to get into a heavyweight discussion on here today! I am careless. Hang on a bit.

  • @pyenapple It was the K Foundation (Same people...different art) that burned the million and it was rather dull. This has nothing to do with it. This is a promo for a pop song. They have taken the budget for the promo and tossed it and filmed the reaction rather than spending the budget on a flash video. The K foundation thing was trying to be art for arts sake. not very exciting stuff. Money: A major body of cash would have been art...the burning was just boring

  • @justinwiggy Thanks for setting me straight. I thought the burning of a million pounds sterling was art; but now I've completely revised my entire opinion based on your effortlessly NON-limp argument. And I knew it was the K Foundation, but nobody knows who the K Foundation is. Whereas people have actually heard of The KLF, which is why I said The KLF. Der.

  • Great !

  • dont see why they couldnt have given the money away somewhere where the people who use the station would get more benefit from it. Liverpool street station is the mainstop for Londons banking community.

  • Sadly, I think that there would have been a REAL stampede with people getting hurt...

  • Not seeing Mansun live is one of my greatest regrets. Come back to us Paul and Chad we want your talent, you're a great loss.

  • now that i see this is clear to me that blink 182, is more than shit. they are thives!!! AGUANTE MANSUN CARAJO!!!! Paul come to argentina please!!!

  • fantastic!

  • Great idea music video!Miss them so much.

  • Absolutely MENTAL! I was never convinced it was genuine until now. Not a bad song either.

  • This is probably the greatest and most rebellious music video in history. If there was one video that defined Mansun as a band it would be this. Utterly brillant.

  • great song great video
