@righteousgroove i was responding to jfshields1221 who said, "how anoying is the way he says se-cant? bloody american." are you allowed to be offended, where i'm not?
@ianharwood No, you have a right to be offended- the guy was being a douche! It's just that I found your comment about "American-English taking precedence" to be erroneous. And to be entirely truthful, Americans ARE NOT respected around the world- everyone knows that. Im not hating on Americans (after all, Canadians really arent that different!) its just that as an American, you obviously dont have a good idea of where Americans stand on a world view.
@righteousgroove i'll put it to you this way: if you live in canada, how many television shows have casts with predominately american-english-accented actors"? it's going to be the vast majority. it's pretty much the same worldwide. and it's mostly the "youth" of the world that has a problem with america. the older generations are capable of separating jealousy from hate. younger generations, not so much. i do have a good idea of how the world perceives america. i onlywanted to piss that guy off
@ianharwood Yes that's definitely true...most of the shows Canadians watch are American :) I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "separating jealousy from hate", but ok. Kudos to you.
@righteousgroove i will admit, i love canadian music though ;). stabilo, billy talent, die mannequin, rush... canada has some awesome bands :D. take care :)
When we says "the book," he refers to the book that you use for your calculus course. Publishers use different answers for problems than others. I'm only a high school sophomore, but I do know that my school's AP Calculus book will give some answers different to a college calculus book.
@lamtartarus To find the derivative of sin(x) draw a sin(x) curve on a graph and label the radians. Draw a line through pi/2 and look what trig curve it makes. You see it makes cos(x).
For cos(x) do the same thing. Now you should see it as -sin(x).
I heard there is a way to do it with algebra but I have not got that far or I would have helped even further.
i understand you saying that you should cross refence your answer with the back of the book because of several possible answers, but how is that going to help in the hsc
What he means is that depending on the book, there will be different ways to write the answer. After matching it once, you will then know how to match the rest of the answers without looking at the end of the book.
@berner316 i agree :) it depends on the teacher whether we'll like math or not. i hate math before coz my teachers are boring and she cant explain math well.
thank you so much for these videos! I'm trying to study for my final tomorrow, and I needed a review session badly on derivatives! It's helping me a lot! Thank you!!!
what an amazing job done by U Sir, i love it

jfshields1221 2 years ago
hey how does it feel knowing that american-english has taken precedence over your own english? guess it goes to show you who the world respects more.
ianharwood 1 year ago
American-English HAS NOT taken precedence over any other kind of English! I'm not trying to be rude, but I find that very ignorant. Love From, Canada
Oh and I like this math video :)
