Beasts are the land, furred animals (bears included). Birds are the feathered, flying animals. What started their exile was how bats were both (but neither) and didn't take sides. The cannibalistic nature of Goth and Throbb have nothing to do with the title of "beast" in Silverwing's interpretation.

Because that was something totally different. The battle of the Birds and Beasts (causing the bats to be banished into darkness) happened a LONG time ago. This is just something completely different (something similar happened in Sunwing, but not in this way)

I'm sorry my friend, i have done this before, but no its not true. Many of those articles are outdated and its very unlikely that Oppel will even be announcing a new book this year. Besides, Even he has said directly that he has no immediate plans to write a sequel but if he gets a good idea, he promises he'll write it down. He has already made Darkwing, and I think its more likely he'll write a sequel to that (at least). Maybe this year if we are lucky
