@BaconStein The Otomedius series is a bit bland. Hoping Konami bring back Gradius or even Parodius or a new Twinbee shmup rather than more Otomedius titles. Cave are masters. Enough said.

And this is why I'm learning Japanese. There are a bunch of games with eye-candy anime aesthetics and ear-candy japanese voices and music, and nobody wants to localize them. Instead, we have to settle with Halo, COD, GOW, Assassin's Creed and their 1000 clones.

Funny how the 360 gets all these shooters and no one in Japan even knows what a 360 is.

@NiteX2 The funny thing is that the PS3 port completly bombed with reported Japanese sale figures of around 1500 to 6500 its looking like most shmup devs will probably stick with the 360. And if no-one buys the upcoming Strike Witches PS3 port then theres little chance of other STGs getting ported imo.

@TrevHead10 I didn't realise Strike Witches was getting a port to PS3? Still not picked up the 360 version.. It sure is sad that devs wont take a chance. I mean personally for me.. being a shmup fan of course.. the PS3 is deadweight.. i only buy exclusives for it now, Uncharted, Heavy Rain etc. Other than maybe Soldner X 2 which I quite like.. there's nothing to get excited about. I often look at the release lists for ps1 & 2 and it's sad to see how the ps3 has none.. or 1 as it is so far.

@AmidstStorm yea its sad, especially since handhelds is where japanese gaming is heading. Im waiting for sony to one day create a handheld that connects to the HD TV and plays as well as a console. TBH thats where I see sony heading eventually

@demonwolfdawg I was talking about legal downloads (PSN).. But you should try this game you might actually like it, and it's farrrrrr from easy (opinion based on the 360 version), as I saw you commented on it's difficulty.

@16bitghost Nah, i had a look on play-asia and they wont export ps3 games to the uk. i have just ordered Mamoru kun on 360 though but im not sure its the same game or not as its been out awhile. I might pick this up in the future.
