The first time was in the first raised seating at Xcel Center .I told myself never again.I only get row eight or better.It's worth the price.I saw her play "The Butterfly" in March 2008.She was wearing her blue with rainbow color dress.It was even more packed with her energy.
She played the" The Contradiction" right after" the Butterfly".
I am so glad you got to see her live. I keep telling people there is HUGE difference between video and live.
I understand that Mairead's violin was made in 1710. That would make it 300 years old this year. I only hope that the maker of it is looking down from heaven smiling at her.

@mali2003bu --- For a man whose life was dedicated to making things of beauty & joy, to see his creation in the hands of a magician 300 years later still bringing joy to millions? I would expect his smile helps the sun to rise. For the Irish, who some say are superstitious, but I say are "persons of unusual perceptions", Mairead may seem a fairie. Count me among them, though I'm not Irish. And her violin is magic.
@mali2003bu I'm pretty sure that they are. :) You probably know this, but the older the instrument, the better the sound of it. (and her violin has AWESOME sound!!!!!) Mine was made in 1950, and it has really good sound.
