@joeysu6000 Buttons are for various things like skipping tracks, mut, theres a button for your phone etc.. Yes the car is fully bluetoothed up :)

I'm just in way to get this car, but i have some doubts about its engine. The 170 BHP motorize is not as sold as the other ones (2.0 140 BHP for example)

I wanna know if did you have any problems with it? Is the car having a good response, and is the engine working properly?

Do you recommend me to get the GTD? Or maybe a TDI 140BHP with "Full Equipment" and R-Line pack?

My doubts are just about the engine... THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION!!

@Bolxevique Hi, i have had the car 12 months now, and the engine performs very well, and has never skipped a beat. Couldnt be happier :) You could probably get same performance from that 140 with a remap.

Hey, just wondering, when engaging reverse, do you have to push the gear stick down or anything? otherwise how do you not get reverse and 1st muddled up? (i know i would! :L )

@peacockealot I didnt have a choice as the model we bought the showroom model so it came with loads of extras we wouldnt have normally got. Not that i am complaining cos it does actually come in handy when backing up to stuff, you can tell exactly how close you are. Your just jealous you havnt got one ha.

Stunning car mate. My mum is getting one of these in black with the leather, satnav and parking sensors. Sure it may not be as fast as the GTI, but its quick enough anyway and you dont get 40+MPG from a GTI eh? lol

bah! more torque than a GTI? true, but your through the gears alot quicker and the power tops out too soon in a diesel, i'd have you in my MKV GTI DSG any day, any road you wouldn't stand a chance with quick cornering in yer turbo lagging traktor.

Still nice car though, but priced to close to the MK6 GTI.

btw you should have got DSG.

The car itself might be priced close to the GTI, but think about the running costs. Tax is extremely cheap with the diesel, obv you get plenty more MPG, and insurance is cheaper aswell.. Plus i cant really race around much on 9 points now can i lol. When we change it in 3 years, i will probs get a GTI then tbh.

And the DSG? Nah, i like my gearbox thanks :)

Oh and remap the diesel to the same bhp as the GTI and it might be a bit closer. Obv the GTI will still out handle the diesel, but in a straight line it could be close.

No! Stick with the GT. £400 chip will get you an extra 30bhp easy.

I chipped the mk5 gt tdi 170 and it gave me 201bhp. Apparently they already produce close to 180 anyway. I drove a 170 a3 today and it's a slouch without the chip. One thing i will say is flywheels suck in all of these engines, make sure you have a warranty.

My gt 170 needed one at 30k and my r32 mk5 needed one at 28k.

Polar white with the vancouver alloys like urs. Couldnt justify and extra 3k for the other extras though so everything else is standard so i'm a bit jealous ;-( How long did you wait for yours?? i ordered mine early july and ive only just got the delivery date from the dealer, and thats only an indication! not definite yet!!!

Ahh man, they do look mint in the white though. I test drove a white one. I only waited about a week and a half as i took the showroom model lol. Thats why its got as many extras as it does. I must admit, i dont regret it. Not a cheap car, but it drives really well, and certainly looks the part. You will be very impressed :)
