However, I am not sure how he is tuning his guitar.

You can see that he is playing around what would be the G scale in standard tuning.

However, open G tuning does not seem to be right either.

I HATE the new album of John Butler. It's like pop music for teenagers, but the worst is that he's pretending to make good music, and that's what people think too.

BUT this song is really awesome. Much better than any of those belonging to april uprising.

@taurtue Yup, i agree with you. I wouldn't say it sucks because, despite the shift in style, i can still find things i like in pretty much all songs, but overall it was disappointing. But i do feel Revolution is one of the best and most powerful songs he has written. Ragged Mile is also pretty good, i LOVE the outro in Johnny's Gone (i would really like to hear that entire jam), Mystery Man is another great song and Fool for You is no Seeing Angels but it's also a quality song.

I believe each token on his hat are forms of symbolism for what he can see and feel. The bone represents earth, the feather is the air and clouds, and the star is everything above the air and clouds.

@dumpfbacke1997 yes Dobro make the best slide guitars in my opinion, but you can play them anyway. They are not very resonate without a sound hole, but you still get some nice sounds.

Saw him at Mcdowell mtn fest in scottsdale in '08 , he closed out the festival ....... and was the greatest i've ever seen live.....(the best part....the festival was half capacity when he came on at 11:00. It was basically all flagstaff people left , mountain people who know how to have a good time........
