@TrueAriesRocks the lights are ambience lights!, you can select to have the lights on with the tv off or on or both. When the TV is off the lights make the tv and the room look really good!

i have a samsung dlp, its going on 4 years old and its just starting now to get white dots on the screen, from what ive read its the chip, 500 to replace, anyone else heard of this problem? seems quite common from the blogs ive read.

I have had a rear projection for over 5 yrs.Let me tell ya a secret on the rear projection.If you ever notice your picture looks washed out like crappy looking take the back off and clean the bulbs or bulb.They get realy dusty after a few yrs.Plus if it has a mirror clean that as well.But only use a very mild soap not windex.And you tv will look like you just bought it.Mine did this after 4 yrs and i thought it was going so i did this and bang its like a new tv.
