I was planning to attend AI-hollywood but reading all the negative things.EVERYONE is saying I don't know if I want to attend.anymore can someone please help me with my dilemma? I was planning on going in october of 2012 I don't want to be screwed over :'[
THE ART INSTITUTE IS A SCAM PEOPLE! Trust me, I attended the A.I of San Francisco. The student housing was in the Fillmore (GHETTO & NOT SAFE). WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too expensive as for the school itself, WHICH by the way they give classes that you don't even need! I'm withdrew from the school because I don't want to be even more in debt. Just like any other college, it's a scam!

I moved across the country from my whole family and into one of the worst experiences of my life, mostly because of this god awful housing and the housing department. Bad area, bad housing, way over priced even for san francisco. Complete BS I hate this school!!!! Originally went to Ai Michigan first, also bad. I'm pretty upset with The art institutes!!
@ajt010 Sorry to know this. Honestly, it's better living on your own. Your honestly better off in your own apartment in a better location. I moved to Sacramento, have my own place (w/ roommates) and I don't have to worry anymore about student housing and the location is super much better. Hope everything works well for you!
@darthhull85 i could not agree more! the art institute of pittsburgh is one of the worst schools ever. i thought all the art institutes were like that one. im SO glad i found this one :)
@showmethings Man I've been thinking about going to the one in Nashville Tennessee, now that I'm hearing all this crap IDK if I should anymore, would you recomend not going?
@chrissup19 i dont know much about that exact school, but i am not a fan of nashville so it would not be my first choice. pittsburgh is the only one i have been to so far and i hated it. im starting at this school in LA in a few months. my advice is just make sure you do research on the school u pick and make sure u choose a program u will want to stick with. :)

They gave me brochures and packets and assured me id be safe/comfortable. I get here and its not in a good or safe area, not even that close to the school, and also there are a lot of buildings that belong to the complex. they throw all of the students in the crappiest buildings. then say "oh you must have looked at a model.."
where is the housing that is mainly shown within this video? I am going to attend the institute this summer and I was wondering where I should go for housing. I checked out the one in Culver City but I haven't checked out the other ones. It would help if you can give me some advice :)
@enighthawk Those apartments in the video are located right next to Loyola Marymount... near Playa Vista. Of the locations available, this is where I would live... it was pretty nice in general and also reasonably close to the ocean. The apartments in the video were nicely furnished. I am not sure whether or not the student's apartments always look like that. Good luck.
