I don't see what this has to do with BJJ. My favorite fighter is Shinya Aoki and most of his fights are fought on the ground. Plus, not everybody watches UFC or Strikeforce only. A lot of people do, however. As for BJJ, I want to take a BJJ class and I also want to take Muay Thai. So I do not have any bias against fighters who take it to the ground.
If you hate those "fanboys" so much then just don't talk to them. Learn to ignore people. Most of them wouldn't diss the sport irl.
I was born in Venezuela so I am a latino. I know a little bit about Brazil from Chute Boxe. I haven't really started doing BJJ or Muay Thai because I am a procrastinator when it comes to actually doing MMA. @moussleouf There is no such thing as luck involved in a triangle armbar setup submission. Fedor got reckless after the knock down and he got caught, that is all there is to it. I still think he will win the rematch but there is no reson to take anything away from Werdum for pulling it off on one of the greatest.

As I Fedor fan I have to admit that I am dissapointed he lost this fight. but I must also say that it is much much muuuuuuucccccccccccchhhh better that Fedor lost to a class act like Werdum than some trash-talking jerk like Brett Rogers. I was very impressed by Werdum's performance and I do believe that this win opened up his career.
Unfortunately, Werdum's career ends as the guy who beat Fedor. Werdum was never the top 3 in Pride. He was arguably top 3 in the UFC before JDS, Cain, and Carwin joined.
Werdum has a broken chin. If Fedor can drop him, Overeem can KO him. Werdum was very lucky. The fight made me 100% confident that Werdum's chin has been broken by JDS.
Fedor just had to tell Werdum to stand back up and knock him down again.

Those who say Fedor gave up just to make a comeback victory on a rematch are trolling. It would be one million times better to Fedor if he had won this one and then defeated Overeem, it would attract both more money and audiance. (and he would be the invincible forever).
Fortunately it was Werdum and not Overeem the one to beat Fedor. Werdum is way more humble.

As I Fedor fan I have to admit that I am dissapointed he lost this fight. but I must also say that it is much much muuuuuuucccccccccccchhhh better that Fedor lost to a class act like Werdum than some trash-talking jerk like Brett Rogers. I was very impressed by Werdum's performance and I do believe that this win opened up his career.

Unfortunately, Werdum's career ends as the guy who beat Fedor. Werdum was never the top 3 in Pride. He was arguably top 3 in the UFC before JDS, Cain, and Carwin joined.
Werdum has a broken chin. If Fedor can drop him, Overeem can KO him. Werdum was very lucky. The fight made me 100% confident that Werdum's chin has been broken by JDS.
Fedor just had to tell Werdum to stand back up and knock him down again.
