Run the octave b4 the Muff and then the muff to the DS-2. i have my sh9it set up like that(w/ a duncan tweak fuzz after the muff-b4 the digitach grunge which is identical to a really good DS2) and it cleaned up that overwhelmingly loud noise. i use a russian muff though??A bit smoother to my ear.
