Love the sound of the main riff in acoustic and I personally think that Matt aced the vocals on this one - brilliant acoustic style and lovely voice :D Good job guys!

@CthuluHasChannel Funny, I actually thought the new Trivium was good because they put a great focus on vocal melodies, which is lacking in alot of modern metal. But it's true that the instrumentation could've been better.

Dir en Grey on the other hand, seem to be fixated on one style of music in their new album. There are a few magnificent tracks (especially the singles), but overall, it felt like they kept writting the same song.

Just my opinion of course.

Trivium's a solid band and truely rock, but this cover was totally uncalled for. I would expect someone to cover some of Maiden's slower tracks or a completely altered acoustic version of this one. Before covering any classic tune one should ask themselves if the world really needs a cover version of it and how different and interesting that cover is going to come out, otherwise, it's just shooting yourself in the foot and then wondering why you're walking funny ;-)

My general opinion about Trivium has always been thus:

If their guitars hung higher than their nutsacks, then their leads might suck less.

However, from this video, I can draw two possible conclusions when considering that last statement:

1. This is simply not the case, and they suck even when sitting down.
