hi, there is a song called 'meltdown' by 'enter shikari' it seems they have put dub wobble to their guitar and/or their bass, do you know if thats done the same way, or if the theory of it is different?
I am so new to this it's ridiculous...so far it's been pretty helpful. I'm at about the 5:00 mark but I still can't seem to find any sound when I mess with the mixer...what could be the issue?
@somethingorange How longs a piece of string? Logic Pro (if your brand new) inst really an app you can use without any training as you’ll hit a lot of basic issues but ones that are very hard to explain/resolve via "its not working, what is it". Having said this, create a 'software instrument' and put a standard instrument on it and check you have sound that way you know it is nothing stupid like i/o on the preferences. Second make sure the oscillators are on as if not you will hear nothing.
@101MTL Also if your cut off is too low then you will be cutting off all the content and therefore not hearing anything. Check your channel has an output going to stereo out. Apart from that without screen shots ect it is very hard to correct the individual issues.
I cant tell you exactly how many video i had to run through to learn how to make a wobble, but finally, i know how to do it, thank you very much kind sir!!! Sub-d :D
Hey, awesome video! It definitely helped a ton. Is there anyway chance that you could send me a copy of the theory file you showed us here? (The flow chart type thing) It would be really nice to have just as a reference! Thanks again!
@DamienRossMusic1 Dude thats not even a question. There is a reason why Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton, Reason are all pro apps and FL studio isnt. Its bedroom stuff, great to learn on for basics and to give it credit it is getting better but man serious! Pro apps are pro because of the depth and versatility. Cheers for popping the question bro.
Hey i have a problem, i cant stop the oscillator wobbing, it keeps doing it and its overlapping my other wobs which are in a different track, it still overlaps if i put it in the same track
@impIosive Hi, the description of the problem is a bit wishy washy but if your just talking about the speed the Osc is being 'wobbled' at then you need to alter the LFO which is controlling it.
Hi I'm at the part where you just turned off the oscalators and for some reason, I can't hear a preview of what I'm doing. Is there any specific button or command that needs to be pressed?
@MrGriiizy If you shut off the oscillators then your turning off the 'sound generator' effectivley meaning there will be no sound to listen to....keep at least one oscillator on at a time and you will get sound. Also if you have oscillator 1 on but your 'triangle' mixer is all the way to oscillator 2 or 3 then you will hear nothing...also check you solos are not on on any channels! Hope this helps!
i recommend Pioneer CDJ-900 or CDJ-2000 using Rekord Box 1.5.0 on Mac it is good for mixing tracks with ur own style added, and for the people who think that people ripped off the skrillex voice thing "YES OMG"!! that is from the Cup stack chick
@kramer824 Hi, I consider Logic PRO to be a PRO application with most of the worlds PRO app users slit down the middle on PRO tools and Logic PRO. The only real difference between the two leading pro apps is that to my knowledge PRO tools is still the only one out of the two to have a 64 Bit mix bus (this is different to 64 OS architecture). Logic is more used by composers for film and tv, ten times more user friendly than tools but tools wins on audio quality. Why do you consider it not to be?
@101MTL Well I honestly have no real knowledge about this stuff sorry haha. Do you think you could help me learn the meanings of all the things on these synthesizers so I can actually have an idea of what I have to do to get the sound I'm looking for? Like oscillators, LFOs, Envelopers, etc?
Hi, hope this doesn't sound ungrateful, but I would really appreciate these in 720p, it would make it so much easier to see what you are doing! Other than that, great tutorial, thanks very much!
@Jewman4000 hI, YEAH I AGREE! At the time when I did this there was a smaller maximum upload limit...which has since been lifted. What I didnt want to do was upload the video in two or three parts because personally that irritates the hell out of me! Point taken for future videos though!
@101MTL I have the same question as Mr Giiizy. When you shut off the oscillators, and preview the sound that Analog Saw Init is going to make, what is the key command/shortcut you use to listen to it?
@JBFilms670 If you shut off the oscillators then your turning off the 'sound generator' effectivley meaning there will be no sound to listen to....keep at least one oscillator on at a time and you will get sound. Also if you have oscillator 1 on but your 'triangle' mixer is all the way to oscillator 2 or 3 then you will hear nothing...also check you solos are not on on any channels! Hope this helps!
@101MTL This is weird. I have oscillator 1 on, my sound triangle is set to one, volume on both logic and my computer are up, and I still get absolutely no noise from ES2. I can drag loops over and those will play and everything, but ES2 makes no noise. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
@JBFilms670 Hi JB, can you inbox me and I will send you my email so that you can send screen shots. The next step might be having accidentally pressed something and not realised or something is routed wrong but screen shots would be very useful as I want to help you solve this.
@quinxx12 Cheers, Ive had this off a few people and point taken. Its a tough thing to see. All future videos will be posted in HD. You tube had a smaller upload limit when I made this ten minute beast! cheers for taking the time to let me know!
@siddique5 Ill look in to it mate, the only issue is if you go higher res then the videos are too big to upload and I prefer to keep videos whole rather than Part 1, part 2 etc. But cheers for taking the time to drop a suggestion.
@TrenchfootDubstep Hi man, are you using three gens? If not try hooking up Rob Papen's Blue or Predator. These are pricey synths but give a awesome sound. I purely used the ES2 as it is standard with Logic Pro and does not price people out e.g. if I used 'Blue' you'd have to spend £400 to get the synth. Cheers for the comment man.
@101MTL Havnt tried blue, predator is sick tho, i used to have it on my pc. Im on mac now and I use NI Massive, legit aswell! cost me 179 euros worth every penny. The standard macs at college dont have any good audio units so have to use logic standard stuff. Anways thanks for putting up the tutorials mate, and was wondering what programme u used to record this tut, its really crisp and clear.
i've herd the first part a few times over but nice for you to explain, but i found the interesting part in the last minute were you talk about varying the rate. nice one!
@DORKDORK999 Shocking when I released this I could not find any video that actually explained clearly the theory. Hey ho! Great that you found at least something on the video useful! And even more cheers for dropping a comment!
@hennersmannin hi there i use just an Oxygen V2 for small stuff like this, there is a 'keyboard' if you press you caps lock button in Logic then this will appear, alternatively just program the MIDI in the Piano roll view...check out my other videos they explain.
@101MTL When I do the plain sine thing or anything else im not getting any sound, and when I try anything else like ultra beat its making sound, im using Output 1-2 btw
@ZarryyGFX Right, well on the INS/OUTS section which is the blank rectangle just above the box that say 'stereo out' that is just above the channel fader you click and hold and select the es2 which should then pop open if not then double click on the box that was blank but now reads ES2.
