as far as vampire literature goes "for me"- Anne Rice is far FAR more outstanding than Stephanie Meyers, to be honest I dont even see Queen of the Damned and Twilight on the same level, I was rewatching QOTD the other day, years after the last time i saw it- and i totally forgot Twilight was also a vampire story.

As for the characters in the movies:
