In cadillac' case better never than ever. The classics were the best. After 1974 they started going downhill. Most new techynology we see from GM are 1st thrown in cadillacs before even being tested - a practice since the 70's thereby degrading the co. to being the bastard child of the GM Corp. Now, when 1 problem occurs your entire dash panel lights up like a Christmas tree & multiple sytems are affected.

I have an Audi - not a single electrical problem as opposed to the last 3 GM vehicles that seem to have have rampant electrical problems within month of getting them.

Actually, 2 of the 3 GMs I've owned were Cadillacs & they drove, felt, & had no less then problems that the last of the 3. The 1 that I did own was my 1st Caddy ever & it never had problems - needless to say it was a classic auto before the GM-bs came into being. I've owned my Audi for 4 yrs. No probs. Just routine maintenance & it gives back excellent performance.

Not to mention every ASE certified I run into has the same low opinion of the Cadillacs of today. The word among them is that ever since the late 70s - Cadillac has been the bastard child of GM w/ no real changes in regards to improvement. Since they work on the vehicles I tend to trust their word over that of GM or some magazine editor/publisher.

Yeah, redesigned. Ok, whatever. Kinda late by about 2+ yrs after another company called Ford/Lincoln & even more late by about 5 yrs after yet another company called Nissan/Infiniti. Same thing only boxy..oh I'm sorry I meant "stealthy". Once again, modern Cadillac finishing last.
