However given how small Germany is compared to the U.S and Russia, I'd say Germany kicked some serious Allied ass. Far more Allied soldiers perished than German ones and militarily speaking (quality of soldiers, small arms innovation, tanks, new tactics, i.e. Blitzkrieg) the Germans were far superior to the Allies.

Had the ground remained firm like it had been in Summer, with all of his vehicles pouring onto the Russian front unobstructed, Hitler's troops would have gotten even farther into Russia. He held out rather well in Russia until America became involved, at which point the Germans had to fight on more fronts than was reasonable. Had Japan followed Hitler's suggestion and attacked Russia, letting America wait...

Although the rest of the world who reads history knows they are anything but righteous people. I have more respect for Germans past than Englands. The English have been dividing and conquering way sooner than Germany and in greater proportions. Of course there is good and bad everywhere but it doesnt always weigh out the same in different parts of the world.

@trains457 The Allies only won because Hitler overstretched himself and never listened to his generals whom he deeply distrusted. They also won because they could out produce Germany. However given how small Germany is compared to the U.S and Russia, I'd say Germany kicked some serious Allied ass. Far more Allied soldiers perished than German ones and militarily speaking (quality of soldiers, small arms innovation, tanks, new tactics, i.e. Blitzkrieg) the Germans were far superior to the Allies.
