This movie was filmed at the Mississippi state-owned historic site I work at! At the time, it was a boys military boarding school, which shut down in 1964. Many of the cadets seen here were students at the school, and boy, were they thrilled to be working with John Wayne! The grounds look much the same, but the middle part of the large brick structure was torn down in 1972.
