Brilliant guy and I still love his music(both undertones and solo) to hate someone you don't even know is just childish so he left the undertones get over it it was years ago, and also makes you look like a music snob which just totally boils my piss.
When illegal downloading has been totally obliterated by the new digital laws pushed forward by Fergal and the media conglomerates he represents, do you really think people are going to rush out there and start buying all these albums that they would have usually downloaded? No of course they aren't, they'll just go without. And everyone is going to become less musically cultured as an end result.
What a kick in the teeth this was to Undertone fans when it came out. Any change can be accepted in time, Julie Ocean was a shock, but hauntingly beautiful. This was just drivel devoid of soul. All these years later....it still is. I'm glad for Feargal, he hit it big like he deserved to, if he's happy, good for him. Try as I might, still can't accept this.
@jetcap almost like when weller split the jam for the style council though id argue the first 18 months of the council were better than feargals drivel- weller still wrote a couple of crackers up to 1985 before the huge collapse - and has redeemed himself since the 90s- sharkey on the other hand ?????
TOTAL WANKER ,THINKS HES BETTER ,than the rest of the undertones ,this asshole wouldn't even have an arse in his trousers with out the undertones,a complete dickhead ,thats just nasty because some that couldn't afford it copied his music back in the 70s and 80s,and he didn't make a "fortune out of it ,the prick
"I can still turn on radio stations all over the world and hear A God Heart being played", and no doubt reaping the financial rewards, while at the same time denying music to millions of people over the internet. Dirty sell out!
@MrNobody808 I think he only gets a very small amount of cash every 3 months. he didn't write a good heart. it was writen by some mcgee woman, can't be asked to research it. but he still made a lot of cash from the 80's as they all did.
think The Undertones will long outlast the Fergal Sharkey. This interview says more about Sharkey's ambition rather than his talent. The undertones are much bigger than than him - a bit like Manchester United & David Beckham - the sum of the parts is greater than the whole 'n all that
Hi there, Ofcourse you must be proud of yourself, because it´s the most beatifull and sexy sound ever made on the 80´s. Congratulations to you and your band. I wish i could have a new album from you.
God bless chers from your friend Rui Trindade- Oporto- Portugal
he lives in north london, Finchely. found his house, a few mates sang 'a good heart' outside his window pissed. he looked out, gave them a smile and a big thumbs up, haha.
