Ringo sounds great here. He also was in great voice at the Carl Perkins concert back in 1985 (approx). My point- it sucks that Ringo couldn't get the support for more lps in the 80's. Of course there were other factors. Thanks for this great post.

Imagine how hard it was to keep the beat like Ringo did in front of 20,000 screaming fans! Ringo is an incredible drummer. While Paul and John led them to super stardom, it was George and Ringo who pulled off an even harder task: Keeping the beat and stabilizing the band for as long as they did. All four were amazing musicians and songwriters...they didn't just change music, they changed the world!

I do know that Ringo is the only Beatles the other 3 have always gotten along with pretty much- after all RIngo played on the other 3 Beatles' solo albums after the breakup and they've always been willing to help him pretty much. George sided with John when he played on "how do you sleep' ad John and Paul were always kinda competitive against eachother. I think Ringo and George got along best being hte 2 underapreciated and peaceful Beatles

This is a great version.

Ringo(lead vocal on 'With A Little Help From My Friends') has such a distinct voice and it never changes,he sounds just about the same today (at nearly 70) as he did with The Beatles.

Speaking again of Ringo's vocals, I'm very serious when I say many people have commented(literally)on my music video 'It's A Complicated World' that my singing sounds similar to Ringos!
