I don't understand why people think this is a romantic song. The lyrics (especially at the end) say it all. I mean "She'll let you come just far enough so you know she's really there" and "she's got a secret garden where everything you want, where everything you need will always stay a million miles away." In other words she'll let you get only so close to her and she'll continue to be distant. That's sad, for both parties.
