My BIGGEST problem with this 'version' of Password is NOT Regis OR the 360 degree set or the logo or anything like that. It's the fact that they are NOT PLAYING PASSWORD! They are playing "Million Dollar 'Lightning Round'". The whole strategy of "Password" was to play the same word and give your partner clues that -- you hoped -- he'd add up BEFORE your opponents did.
The players in this latest edition of Password seem slower than their previous counterparts. Watch the episodes from the '80s or '60s - faster on their feet, so to speak.
lol does seem a bit lame. i also dont like regis as a host. i know he's this all american guy loved by everyone but im not american and i just cant warm up to him :D
also: the audience shouldnt be allowed to applaud after every correct answer. people, it's only 30 seconds. surely you can be quiet for that long
Exactly the same as French version. Except the French version doesn't have canned cheering, isn't edited millions of times and has at least fairly intelligent people on it.
@danrdrewf: I have seen Spider-man and Spiderman... the point of the hyphenation rule is more for longer, more descriptive words. I'm calling B.S. on this application of the rule.
That was one reason why I stopped watching after this format. Regis' bad hosting (sad but true) and making the format a cross between Pyramid and Millionaire didn't help either.
