"Y" is easy to figure out if you've learned German. It sounds similar to the German "ü".

"Y" does not always sound in german like an "ü", it sometimes sounds like the german "i" or a mix between "i" and "ü". xylophon, it can be pronounced with ü but also with i (by the way we maybe use the Y just 1 time a day when we just speak german)
