  • Incredibly accurate. good work

  • I have agoraphobia and i love being outside :) Agoraphobia is fear of a specific place/places that have been a place for bad anxiety or bad anxiety is likely to happen here. It revolves around catastrophic thinking eg, you feel you will begin to panic which you fear will result in death or for those who think we fear "crowds :P" it is a fear of becoming so overwhelmingly embarrassed in front of these people due to the effects your anxiety has on your body. btw I'm severely housebound

  • This was very well made. I unfortunetley have agoraphobia and this sadly is what happens. I also have it at this magnitude and it really is hard :(

It all started with my emetophobia, which is the fear of throwing up. And cause of that I'm scared of going out like practically anywhere. So it's convrtered itself to agoraphobia too..

  • very well produced

  • I am an Agoraphobia and have had it for many years. This film is exactly a snap shot of what happens to Agoraphobics. To the film makers you did a wonderful job recreating the feeling behind it. It made me cry thinking of the many times this has happened to me. Thank you for capturing the essence of what it feels like.

  • what was it that she turned her calendar to and saw?

Good little film, great sound design particularly.

  • @kalaniman1movies It was meant to be a picture of a birthday cake showing the cycle will repeat itself for the next event but it ended up looking like a steaming turd!

  • Isn't agoraphobia fear of large crowds of people?

  • @Jodque2 nope Its apparently both large crowds and large open spaces.

  • That was a great interpretation of agroaphobia. It looked like you even added a little OCD in there as well (the counter washing). Awesome job!

  • pile of shit

  • @em7222 Thanks for the constructive comment.

  • this is exactly what i am going through. and now i cannot leave my flat by myself. am so depressed. uhm...great clip. go on.

  • Hey I might be doing a film couse at Newport. Can you you give me an idea what the course is like?

  • @RichofFitz Very useful. Stick with it through thick and thin, you will learn so much invaluable information and professional practice to set you up for a real work environment and life in general (Y)

  • Love it ! Nice work especially the camera, direction and acting.

Keep such good works coming from your side.

  • I really Enjoy it But i didnt like the last half of it It was a nice filming , but something there is missing out!!

  • This was actually really great, usually I don't check videos out on Spam-type messages, but I'm glad I did this time. Nice work.

  • ha you look like such a dick how can you be a sister of my

  • Yes you could feel the agitation building awesone job

Robin Ariel Ross St Claire Holgate

  • Cool concept! Nice cinematography!

  • Very well shot, and and for it being unscripted it still tells the story very well!

  • THIS WAS GREAT, AND YA THE LIGHTING WAS BEAUTIFUL, YOU GUYS DID GOOD :))

  • Nice lighting at the beginning. I don't have any experience with anyone that suffers from agoraphobia but you seem to have captured the emotions and tension surrounding this issue really well.

  • @AliceGoneStatic Thanks for the comment! We really appreciate your comments and glad you have enjoyed our short film. more films will be added over the next few months!

  • This reminds me of myself but I have a problem going into caves, overpasses, deep waters. I don't consider mine phobias, they might be , I just think of them as issues I have. In short, they are phobias. Great work. The heart beating puts you right into the movie. Great viral for this video. I'm gonna share this one. Thanks for sharing.

  • @musicfanmic Thanks so much for sharing this with other people. glad you like the heartbeats and you feel they work. not sure how obvious it was but the sound was all put in after the edit everything you hear was not shot on location. Thanks again.

  • Wow great cimematography! Well put together, good acting, great editing! Great video!! :)

  • Great video! I love it :)

  • Fantastic camera work for one thing, and the story was well put across, some interesting ways of compromising without music and dialogue, really great, i enjoyed it :)

  • well i really dont like it

    concept really sucks

    camera work was ok

  • @03004452309 Fair enough that you didn't enjoy it or it wasn't too your taste. Thanks for the comment. ill check out your channel when i get a chance.

  • interesting

  • That was great, really captures the condition perfectly!! The cinematography was brilliant

  • This video goes straight into my heart. How incredible sad that she never managed to go. To feel that she want but cant is aweful. Someone with agoraphobia of this level need therapy in steps. Imagine what a step it would be just to go there leave the present at the door and then say she cant stay *as she wouldnt cope with the rest after that only effort* You did a very well made video!!!

  • @YOZcreative Thank you so much, its always really appreciated to hear positive feedback about my work. Glad you enjoyed the film. More short films will be created and uploaded in the next months! Thanks again.

  • This short film is really awesome!! Also a great photography!

  • sup!

  • Great film and acting !XD

  • Without you explaining the plot, I think most people would be confused.

  • @SaddlebackCollegeCTV Thanks for the comment. How would you go about it or what would you change in order for it to make sense?

  • @clatterowls Maybe you could have an insert of a bottle of pills saying they are for some kind of anxiety or a book she's reading about anxiety. You can have "exposition" without saying it.

  • @SaddlebackCollegeCTV - Thanks for your ideas. I think if we were to go back over this project i do agree that possibly a few more shots would be helpful to cement the concept to the audience that she had agoraphobia. Thanks again!

  • good job! i wish i could use a camera like this, i have good movies but poor video quality

  • woow...! caro amico, mi piace!!! e` affascinante davvero!!!

    complimenti!!! abbracci di cuore !

    Davide.

  • OPAL!!!!!! @DidntKnowWhatToPut1 I got that the last image of the calendar was showing that she missed another event and I think it has a very important message. Great film, really builds tension especially with the heartbeat sound. x

  • she is realy pretty!!!!

  • Wait . . . She didn't go? Awwww why didn't her friend come get her? Or just have a separate smaller party in case her friend wouldn't be able to come for the bigger one? Or did she not know that she had Agoraphobia?

I thought it was a cute short film . . . . It allowed you to feel what she was feeling. The way you filmed it and all ya know :) Keep up the good work

  • nicely shot. however, surely parties are in small confined places - student houses arent exactly comparable to open fields?

  • @LauraWedlakeMedia True very true but Agoraphobia isn't just about the open spaces its a combination of open spaces and more so in places where there is no easy mean of escape and, social anxiety is an underlying cause for attacks! Thanks for the comment! We really Appreciate all the feedback! This one one reason we chose Agoraphobia as a lot of people including myself (i learnt something:)) think its just about the open spaces. Thanks again!

  • muy bello

  • haha that cake DID look like a steaming turd :)

was she imagining she was at the party/club? or did she actually go and then come back and throw her dress away ?

  • @dantheman500 Thanks for the comment! It was supposed to show that she imagined being at the party and never actually went. Either way i think it still gets the message across but yea she was imagining being there.

  • @clatterowls yea right i thought so ... i think your right when u say it still manages to get the message across, which i find very strange actually :P i guess accidentaly more open to interpretation -

from an ex film student " good job "

  • good work!

  • Nice work guys. Can see that a great deal of time & effort went into this.

  • amazing piece! visually beautiful...lovely shots without spilling too much narrative!

sound.... tip-top!! levels sound perfect, no dialogue...on this idea = PURRRRFECT...creates the tension!

lighting!!! VERY GOOD....espicialy love the final shots with charecter holding box and strobe light flashing......just thought maybe the interior of bedroom may have been a slight darker, more reds...less yellow + whites

the whole idea of the piece is amazing, i loved it, the ideas an concepts = great

  • t was short and to the point

    It told the story well.

Ive had this problem many years and many years of therapy too.... and the deleted calendar note says it all.

  • Overall a nice short... like the color-grading.

  • Good job!

  • Pretty good short movie - love the range of emotions shown!

    Gideon Shalwick

  • cool very good :D

  • Love you're work, It's very well made! Congratulations!

  • Good film. What does the image mean on the calendar at the end?

  • @DidntKnowWhatToPut1 Thanks for the comment. It was originally suppost to show that she didnt go to the party and on the next calander month it would repeat the cycle to build up to another party. It was meant to be a birthday cake but failed massively and looks a bit like i steaming turd....:S

  • tidy stuff

  • Very impressive!

  • Very good work my friend. I love the way you managed to build up and maintain suspense without the need for music or words.

  • Excellent camera work and acting!!! Keep it up!

  • very nice

    fantastic

  • Nicely made technically. And will hopefully help some poeple understand the issues people go through with agoraphobia and similar things.

  • On the video production side it could not be faulted, but on the research side it may have helped if more input about overcoming this phobia was sought so as to give out a positive message. Albeit it, the message that was given out was one of just giving in to the panic attack and striking the party off the event calendar. I wanted to see the character challenge her feelings with use of cognitive therapy or some other device to help her overcome it. Be Cosmic ...

  • @cosmicordering1 Thank you for the comment! It is really appreciated. I was the cinematographer but from my pov I guess we were trying to show that agoraphobia is not something that can be won over or defeated in such a short space of time. I totally understand what you are saying though and i would be really interested in going back to this film and creating a longer version possibly showing elements that you are suggesting and showing how she would try to overcome the phobia. Thanks again.

  • @clatterowls Looks great. You got the language of editing down, that much is certain!

  • Indeed, as a former therapist and creator of therapeutic audios, I would have liked to have seen a stronger message given out to sufferers. This simply compounds the symptoms and does not address the therapy that could help overcome such a social phobia. Perhaps the character could have shown others how she overcame this panic attack and made some headway.

  • @cosmicordering1 With 3 minutes available, we did not want to undermine the condition and show that it is easy to overcome. Admittedly I would have liked to have shown a progression/given more hope to sufferers, but to be honest with you, I think that sufferers will know and understand that we are not trying to say "you are stuck with this forever". We are exhibiting the condition to those who do not understand it, and are hopefully prompting people to go out and research it. Like we have.

  • @zakfenning Bless you for your attempt at making this condition known to non-sufferers. However, there are a lot sufferers who do not know how to handle it and do search high and low for some resolve. I should know, as I used to also suffer from this and much of the work I used to do did show the ignorance of sufferers of how and where to get help, apart from being directed to the PCN of their local doctor's surgery when they were usually just given a " relaxation" audio or a talk down session.

  • @cosmicordering1 Oh absolutely there are, and this is certainly not a place to look for help.

  • Very good production!

  • Loved it

  • Great video.

  • Great lighting, editing and close ups

  • Awesome Production, brilliant editing and the Actress captured the Phobia good weldone to all 5/5

    Tam
