@Compooky121 Actually they are great practice and do wonders for vocal training. Also, in most places, your not likely gonna have the time to sing a full on song or find all the people you need who know the whole song for their part. but tags are short enough that many people know them and so it brings more people together that way. its sort of a barbershop quartet singers way of breaking the ice and meeting new people. the pleased audience is just a happy side effect.. ^_^
No actually you're the idiot. They weren't talking about the second to last chord. they were talking about the LAST chord with the ringing 9 overtone. Marshall said the END. there is a 9 overtone in the end
I'd say thats debatable. The sound was without a doubt the richest gathering of 8 voices I have ever heard in a recording, and the tag was fabulous. But it was a run of the mill collaborative thing, they really just sang the tag. It was a little too fast, and it didn't have a lot of punch in terms of dynamics and passion. If they had re-sung it though, and correctly these easily over-looked things, then I would full heartedly agree with you, blynk.
lol, not be so criticizing but.. that is quite judgemental on them Lol... I mean i bet they had a couple drinks in them when doing this :-D... the people around that place probably just wants to hear a ring.

actually, i can hear a quiet 9th fade in on the last chord. You can get far more overtones with an 8-part chord than with a 4-part one

I am now hearing an utterly concealed 9th as well with combined harmonics near the end of "Fair" . . .
Purenicotine 3 years ago
Another thing, on the end two chords "Faaaaiiir" You hear an over tone C# right before the lead resolves into the G#. Very strange.

Oh, and this is the best live performance of the tag on youtube. This video should have exponentially more than 900 views.
