How do people get so lost? Unless there is a sacred archive with information saying otherwise, the credits say who wrote it, who arranged it (Nobuo Uematsu for both cases, unless he stole the credit from another person), who wrote the lyrics (Alexander O. Smith), who sang it (Bill Muir) and a list of some random instrumentalists (not Black Mages). What's more reliable than the credits? The Black Mages barely touched the thing (I'm excluding Nobuo obviously) until they did their own version.
